To be honest I don't know what to think .. I had read an somewhere that SF was always on board to reprise Audrey .. until she read what happens to Audrey.. and then she didn't want to do it and it took Lynch some convincing for her to come back.. I really wish I could remember where I read that but it was way before the show started ..
My best friend got me to watch twin peaks in HS and I loved it.. Audrey was my favorite character on the show .. maybe ever .. but I have to say I can't believe this is how my beloved Audrey turned out..
now I understand that she maybe in a coma, or dead, or even in a nut house but I have to say that either way I feel (and it kills me to even think this) unless Lynch has some point in bringing Audrey back .. the return really didn't need her.. trust me I can't even believe I'm thinking this.. but just like everyone of her family members have never brought her up.. she still could have been Richards mother without her being on screen..
I'm hoping on all hopes I am wrong but so far it's not looking promising ??
Some of my favorite scenes have been these of Audrey and Charlie. It would shock me if we actually see Audrey leave that room and head towards the Roadhouse. I think these scenes are to reveal to us the state of Audrey's mind... nothing more.
What ever the issue is with Audrey I do hope that there is information within the last 3 episodes left....

Wow really?? I feel the exact opposite.. I don't see the point especially if she is going to be dead or in a coma .. I thought the last scene between Charlie and Audrey was really good even funny but then she started choking him
And Charlie was clearly faking the phonecall...
I could hear someone on the other end when the phone call first started, a woman's voice

The conversation between Richard and BOBCoop is going to reveal Audrey's enigma i think
Simple observations that probably don't mean anything--but did anyone notice that the French flirt in Gordon's hotel room was dressed something like Audrey, but with the colors reversed? That french woman also took forever to leave the room. And the desk in Ben Horne's office in the Great Northern doesn't look much different than Charlie's; Ben also has other old-fashioned pieces of furniture like the dark glass doored shelves to the left of the scene in Pt 1. Where does Ben actually live? Not at the hotel, I don't think. He has his own place just like Sylvia does. Probably full of old furniture. I also wonder who else lives at Sylvia's. When Johnny ran from the room, Sylvia yelled out "Mary" and "Who let him out, " as though there are others living there. Maybe just more servants.
Audrey said twice that Billie hated the Roadhouse, but it was the only place they hadn't looked for him yet. Did Charlie end someone else's story? Suggested where he asked Audrey if he (Charlie) had to end her story, TOO. I know we already discussed this, but with no conclusions about its meaning. Audrey didn't find it strange. Just asked which story.
It has crossed my mind that she will kill Charlie.
I just don't want her to be in wood. Lynch probably didn't come up with that idea for Josie, so I doubt he would use it now. She complained her present place is like Ghostwood. Not sure what that was like for her; maybe her ashes were spread there but hope that isn't true either.
Is Audrey trapped inside wood? Interesting theory!
She may already be at the Roadhouse.
It was Lynch who decided that Josie should become trapped in the wooden drawer knob, this was revealed during the Twin Peaks USC Retrospective. It makes sense that he would want to elaborate on this idea, especially given his love & obsession with wood. It is at the centre of Twin Peaks.

Oh, dear. I was hoping it wasn't his idea. still, i don't think it is what is going on with Audrey. It's something we can't think of.
In the wood, it would lead me to reconsider the scenes of sweeping the roadhouse floor or all these people sitting at the tables and how she might have influenced those stories.
I'm betting on therapy session. Maybe there aren't other doctors around to save Charlie because the Horne family* set up a super-secret therapy program so that Audrey's trouble wouldn't be publicly known.
*And Mr. C could have helped. We saw him in the photo with Charlie. He might have had a relationship with Audrey and then when she figured out he wasn't Cooper, she went crazy--then Mr. C convinced Ben Horne that he ("Dale Cooper") is the balanced one and that Audrey needs psych treatment, and then he sends in his scientist friend Charlie (who helped construct the box) to serve as private psychologist for the Hornes.
One funny thing: It was interesting to see tables turned with Audrey attacking Charlie. In a show so often about women being powerless against violent vile men, Audrey overpowering Charlie seemed to be a purposeful counterbalance.
Quick question: Has anyone wondered if Audrey is "Judy"? We can't play the fun letter-rearranging game with them, but the names both feature j and y sounds.
Maybe every blue-rose-agent-gone-missing has his own Judy.
After considering all sides, this Reddit theory is where I'm putting my money: https://www.reddit.com/r/twinpeaks/comments/6vg3y5/s3e15_i_think_i_know_where_audrey_is/
As the video and a few others have hypothesized, it makes too much sense for her to be wood (Josie, of course, but more poignantly, the Log Lady's husband is precedent that makes this likely). The lack of mentions throughout the series from all other characters would go in line with the reality that she may have died. It also explains why Fenn supposedly did not initially like her updated character (as someone posted in a previous post). Nevertheless, read this theory and check back!
Full disclosure: I don't have sound so the video may have said the same thing, but as far as I know, this Reddit post was the first to posit the theory on the net.
