One thing to keep in mind, to answer one of OP's doubts, is that we have already seen Coop being attracted by electrical outlets. Do you remember when he was waiting with Janey-E for the Fuscos to interview him? He noticed the american flag at first, then a woman with red shoes and, after following those red shoes, he sees an electrical socket and keeps staring it for a little, before the Fuscos (or someone else, I don't really remember now) came and steal his attention. My idea is that already back then he was starting to have some kind of memory about the socket and electricity, but he couldn't really figure out what it was. Hearing about some Gordon Cole on TV made him more aware. Now I don't know how much: maybe it brought back Coop at 100% and the electricity had something to do with what Laura/Naido/the Giant or someone else told him that he's remembering now; maybe it made him just a little bit more conscious, so that he could remember something vague about the electricity, that he came back from an electrical outlet and so he started playing with it like a child left alone or a... Dougie Cooper would do and that is what will bring him back and/or would teleport him somewhere else. But that's what I think the general idea is.
Still, he has always been helped by the Lodge entities, in one way or another, but not this time around. Nobody was leading him to the sockets.
And what's with Janey-E's scream?
I don't think he will wake up. If anything, I think he will just be hospitalized.
And what's with this thing that Dougie was building a team of allies? With only three episodes left, I think that theory is going down the drain.

She might have screamed because he disappeared.
He didn't try (or succeed) to kill himself. I'd guess "Gordon Cole" stirred very strong memory and emotion, leading Cooper to desperately try and reconnect with the lost parts of himself.. parts he instinctively knows were left behind in a realm accessible through electrical current.. Let's hope it works!
Yes. But I think he is still in the house and Chantal is probably on the way there. Dale will survive but I have an idea how things may end for Janey-E.
Suppose the "real coop" gets himself enough together to save Janey-E from Chantel. That would be quite lovely, actually.

I don't think he disappeared. We can see his legs on the ground at the end of the scene.
I think Dougie HAS built a team of allies, and he is CLEARLY being protected. Bushnell, the brothers, Anthony, even the secretary who let him into the bathroom.

This is Dougie to a T. It's a little hard to read the captions but they are good too.
We all want to see the old Dale so badly but I wouldn't be shocked to see Dougie Coop is still Dougie Coop next week.
James Sweeney you are make me wish we had a dislike button here haha!

Hi Pants,
Maybe she screamed because her Dougie switched places with Cooper again! =:-O
Just kidding. 😉

Not my favourite version of the card but it does the job.
I guess, after coming out of an outlet, he felt some sort of "call" from it (in this cases, 'listening to the sounds' is fundamental).
The first crackle of electricity I heard, "He's going to stick his fork in an outlet" entered my brain. In the part 14 discussion someone predicted he would get tazed and wake up . . . Pretty close.
That was me. After I came to understand that Naido was changing the electric current from Ac to Dc, i figured it would take a jolt of electricity to bring good Coop back. I guessed a taser because of the assassination of Dougie plot and that they might try to subdue him first. I got that wrong but when Coop looked at the socket i started saying "I knew it, I knew it."
Well, they left us with a cliffhanger (if only for 1 week) so i cant be sure I was right but it's looking strongly like I was correct. Good Coop is back!
Yes, it was a great payoff (I hope) when he went for the socket. That theory about AC/DC was very good, and it felt very plausible. So I was very happy to see Cooper do that. Unless it was all wrong and he actually dies, lol.
I think that Janey-E may well do some messy & permanent damage to either Chantal or Hutch - and the other will be completely paralysed with grief as that just isn't in their script...
No idea what's going to happen with Cooper & Janey-E, I find her 'love' for him is very dependent on his ability to provide material possessions & look good & I'm still not convinced Sonny Jim is real.
Maybe if Cooper does come around, he could leave her with the car etc & James as a going-away present?
I'm pretty sure Coop has this time taken a much bigger step to coming back, even if it's by way of the Lodge. I thought Part 15 might be another really weird episode (à la 8) and would bring Coop back. It wasn't that weird and Coop isn't quite back but I'd put my money on him coming back in Part 16. (Perhaps I just can't quite bear the idea of another cliffhanger, with him coming back - possibly - right at the end of Part 18.)
Lynn, I hope you are right about Janey-E clonking at least one of the killer couple. Now we know they're in Vegas, it does indeed look like they might be coming for DougieCoop next. In fact, "no knock, no doorbell" sounds exactly like the kind of loud complaint she'd make in some mad rant she'd let fly as they barge into the house (like the one on the phone and in person to the loan thugs).

I thought she just screamed because the light went off and it was clear it wasn't just a normal blackout

I am not sure that she couldn't see what was happening when she turned around. How open is their floor plan?
Was that the 2nd time we have heard SJ speak?
