Does anyone get the feeling that the end of the series will feature most of our major players converging at the Roadhouse as Julee Cruise sings on stage? Kind of like a cross between the end of episode 14 (original series) and the ending of Inland Empire.
In a sense they're all already in the Roadhouse, since we have no sense of their existence beyond there. I feel like they're all there to provide soap operatic/reality TV distractions, kind of this season's "Invitation to Love," with no intention that they'll resolve or that we'll see any of these characters again.

I think you are right about the series ending with Julee Cruise singing on the stage (probably Falling).
We can't be 100% certain Julee Cruise will actually sing. Just because she's on the cast list and is a singer, we can't assume for certain she will sing this time round. Maybe in the last 25 years things went downhill for her and she's a bitter, disgruntled old woman whose peak has long since passed.
Wouldn't be the first time Lynch has used singers in non-singing roles. David Bowie and Chris Isaak?
