So... we ever going to get any follow-up with the woman across the street from Dougie's love den? The drug addicted woman who kept saying "1-1-9" and whose son almost got blown-up by the car bomb. She also has had red balloons behind her in the house.

Or was that just one of those odd, unexplained, quirky-character Lynch things?

I'm inclined to think she will be revisited, because of the red balloons.  Unless, that is, we are supposed to work that bit out for ourselves.

Ah, who knows?  At this point I'm lost, totally and utterly lost.

I should add that, this being Lynch, I am expecting and ok with not having answers to everything. Now it's just a game of trying to figure out / predict what we will have answers to.

I love the game. I also like screaming 119 now instead of saying I need help. This show did not do this to me I had this damage before I just to get to mask it with some of this.

Hang on a minute.

1 - 1 - 9 - 9 is a prime number.

Take 1 and 1 from 9 you get 7.

7 is also a prime number.

Add 9 and 7 together and you get 16.

Next week is episode 16.

In episode 16 she will appear again. Prime is another word for "important". So she is very important. Obviously she's Judy, or the experiment.

Having said that. If you turn 16 upside down you get 91.

This means that actually there are 91 episodes and not 18. Hurrah!

Edit - just in case people get confused and think I'm being a sarcastic British twat. I'm actually deadly serious.

Really.

I am always serious. Everything I write I do so with a quilled pen and a wilted heart.

Or was that just one of those odd, unexplained, quirky-character Lynch things?

a tiny observation:

the red balloon is not a clue about anything. Like Jaques Tati (who Lynch admits to be one of his inspirations), Lynch uses a red element in almost every scene of the series (from a tiny dot to a larger element). Buttons, clothes, nails, lights, doors, chairs, cups, lamps, pens, etc.

There is always a red element. The balloon is nothing more than a simple red element (perhaps used more than once in lack of other red available props. By the way, we have seen more red pens and pencils or chairs than balloons.

RED and its compositional significance is the mystery/interesting to discuss element, not the balloon.

Speaking of Red, it's about time he makes an appearance.

I haven't rewatched the episode this was in yet, so maybe I'm way off, but at the time I thought the off-camera scuffling in the Las Vegas police dept. was 119 woman vs. cops.

119 woman is #2 on my list of annoying tp red herrings, #1 being the incomprehensible strawberry thing that got Bad Coop out of the state penitentiary, without which what passes for a plot in this damn series would completely collapse.
