Let's not forget the moment Mother attacks the couple in NY. Sexual feelings in both cases. Rather than some kind of feminist vengeance it could be just sex that brings her up.
"The Return" might not just be the return of Cooper. It's also the return of the cosmic female power both good and bad.
Yessssss!!!!

Ye could be like a sex magick kind of thing...like she can be conjured through sex magick?
More like total destruction of love/sex/creation feelings and acts.
And BadCoop knows it, he's the one who tricked that woman imo. And he wants this (black symbol showed to Darya, representing the creature? )
I think calling this creature "mother" could be the ultimate paradox!

I got control of the Brooklyn Twin Peaks Meetup.com group and had a great discussion this week with a woman who is expecting the finale to be numerous women reaping a kind of revenge. Me too....
Season 1 was filled with women mistreated by men--it was hardest to watch (for me) during scenes of Leo beating Shelly. (So it was cathartic to see this Leo-looking dude killed by Sarah/whatever is in her.) In Season 2, I found some moments of women "taking revenge."
Nadine knocking out Hank was the one thing that made the Nadine story line worth it for me, because it counterbalanced Season 1. I had some other examples, but can't remember them off the top of my head. Regardless, Season 3 could be really bring the vengeance.
Off-topic from Sarah: I still suspect that "American Girl" was so named because she:
A) represented vulnerable young women saved by Cooper/Blue Rose team, thereby contributing to Cooper's incredibly good "karma" that's saving his life every which way.* Cooper, along with the Bookhouse Boys, is a good man in a world of Bobs and Leos.
B) helped save Cooper from going into the glass box at the time Mister C. had wanted--which would have been when the Experiment showed up looking for blood. "American Girl"/Ronette Pulaski was thanking Cooper in a way.
I guess Annie is the only American Girl Cooper really saved so far; MIKE/Gerard is the one who physically saved Ronette Pulaski. But! Cooper's work might be contributing to an upcoming return/revenge of Laura, Sarah, Maddie, etc.
*I've got an image of Chantal and Hutch both aiming to shoot Dougie Coop while he stands between them, and for some reason, he'll duck down, and Chantal and Hutch will thus shoot each other. That'd be fun.
