Isn't the billionaire the guy with the glasses who asked Mr C if he needed any money while Mr C was killing Ray in Montana? He looked more like the person pictured with Mr C in NYC than any of these others do. Not sure if the credits for Part 13 named him.

Hi Jocelyn,
I hadn't thought of the Accountant, but that makes sense!
I'm pretty sure there is a bigger role for that guy to play than just asking Mr. C if he needs money. He stood out completely from the other Woodsmen-in-waiting.
😉

Nah, he was just the gang's banker. Nothing to do with Mr C at all, other than being in a gang Mr C had - in theory - taken over. The guy in the photo with Mr C looks nothing like the guy in the gang.
It's never been made clear who is responsible for the glass box. We can infer it's Mr C or his own people, whoever they may be, but nothing concrete has ever come to light.

Well i thought he did look like him.
The tone of so many of these recent posts suggest that many here are bracing themselves for the disappointment of never getting answers. I hope we get some.

When I first saw him standing there, I thought he was from the Other Place.

They did.
Answers are overrated. We can't end with more questions answered than new ones begged.
Questions I hope will haunt me for the next 25 years, if I make it that long...
Some colleague Forum members may not like me to come back to my old theory (sorry guys) but 3 months ago I already suggested that we have to see 'the New York bit' as David Lynch' revenge on the TV world in general and the ABC network in particular. TV is a glass box, MacLachlan as Lynch' alter ego comes in from cinema/art with the Twin Peaks series (TV people try to 'box' him in in the mass medium) and the viewers are destroyed. We as TV viewers are sitting on a couch watching our glass box that is showing us viewers on a couch (Sam & Tracey) watching a glass box. When there's really something happening 'on TV' (owned by billionaires) the viewers get killed.
So it's a metaphore, albeit a subtle one, seeing that Mother/experiment is also in this case acting on a 'sexual situation'.

So how about the Mr. C photo? Well, maybe the world of TV (becoming 'rating scientists') have bonded with evil/maffia (BadCoop) and the world of Big Money.
Onto something?
I think this makes sense, to the extent to which DL is VERY aware we are sitting here watching, and wants us to know he knows, and is messing with us in all KINDS of ways.
Perhaps Sarah has got a little bit of New York in her. We may see it appear again in the last four episodes.

Haha, love this!
Not sure though--most New Yorkers would not have said please twice.
And my theory would explain why the FBI Blue Rose task force currently seem not to be investigating the 'New York case' at all, although events at the scene of the crime couldn't get any 'Blue-er' than this.
Four more episodes to find out

Nothing says they aren't investigating. Same as, just because we don't see someone taking a pee, we can assume they do, several times a day.
It's not germane so it's not shown. If it becomes necessary, it will be mentioned, at least.

Hi Jocelyn,
Believe it or not, that's exactly why I choose the Fire (Walk with Me) Station logo from LOST as my avatar for a discussion of Twin Peaks: the Return.
I don't expect too many answers. Oh, well. 🙁

The fact that I prefer answers + the likelihood that there won't be answers = a crazy me > always thinking and thinking and reading forum responses > and thinking some more > and dreaming.
It's fun.
