At any rate, at least we got a connection to the Janey-E ring in Briggs, and it was a connection I never ever imagined.

I still don't see how the ring got in Briggs.  Hastings and Ruth Davenport found him at 2240 Sycamore, Buckhorn, SD, when they naively completed their The Search for the Zone.  They were the last to see him before, like poor Dougie, his head disappeared.  Somehow around this time the golden band wound up in Major Judy (whom we're not going to talk about) Garland Brigg's stomach.

The ring wound up with Briggs presumably with the assistance of Lodge entities. Dougie ended up with the green formica ring and Briggs Dougie's ring. 

It's a question that won't be answered directly, I'm afraid, so feel free to conjure up a theory to entertain us. ?

In terms of the ring didn't Dougie have the lodge ring on? If so whatever killed Briggs must have swapped them and put it in Briggs stomach. Why? No idea

Yes, the first time we saw Dougie, he had Teresa Banks' (Twisted Hair's?) ring on in place of his wedding band.  

Which brings to mind another question: Why hasn't Janey-E noticed it missing?

Riddle me that!  😉

What if the ring wasn't put there, but rather that Maj. Briggs put it there himself, knowing his end was coming, and wanting to leave a clue for whomever found him (or more specifically, the blue rose task force (BRTF)?

But how did Brigg's get the wedding ring from Dougie?  Was it he that replaced the golden band with the green Formica Owl Ring? Who is Las Vegas would have access to the Owl Ring?  Who could get Dougie to swap rings?  

Is the name Jade (inset) a clue to the culprit?  =:-O
