If you rearrange the letters of Candie what do you get Diane C. Could Candie be the daughter of Diane and Mr C. and placed in an orphanage and one of the double hits in Las Vegas be Candie?
She seems to be about the right age to be the daughter of Diane and Doppelganger Cooper. It's interesting. Richard could be Doppelganger Cooper's son with Audrey. He's pretty much pure evil, while Candie is pretty much the opposite. One question for me is how could a child of Bad Cooper be so gentle and loving? But Richard and Candie certainly make a nice duality.

Now... Beat me up if you must, but even after Richard beat up his grandmother and killed a little boy, I'm not sure if he's completely evil like Bob. He shows big signs of vulnerability (e.g., "don't call me boy," and the way he looked at Mr. C during the arm wrestling, like he was looking up to his father in wonder).
After Ben Horne's soliloquy about the importance of fathers, I wondered if Richard is damaged but not completely beyond repair. He might be a situation like Leland: Evil got into him when he was young; he murdered; but he might still repent.
Regardless, as it stands now, Richard and innocent Candie certainly do counterbalance each other, and I'll bet a bottomless cup o' joe that Candie is going to be very important.
Awesome theory! Candie has been my favorite new character. She has the same sense of the awe of life's little things as Dale. Maybe he will have to take her to Twin Peaks once he awakes.

There are fans that who are now speculating Candie is a stage or assumed name and her real name is Linda, which would've confirmed that she's Diane and Mr C's daughter.
On the other hand, about two to three weeks ago fans were speculating that Candie is a host body to Laura's spirit, who is undergoing a similar Coop-like journey out of the Black lodge and back into the world.
I guess we'll find out over the next three weeks on which one of them are correct or whether all are rubbish.

The way Richard has been portrayed, he appears to be completely irredeemable. That is precisely why you could be correct. : )
