Around the dinner table, the conversation was lively. Thank you but for now, the forum has been archived.
At the end of episode 12 there is a scene in the Roadhouse with 2 young women talking about a relationship. A minute or two into their conversation a man (Trick) runs up to them and slides into the booth. Trick says:
"Hey! I almost got fucking killed coming over here! Some fucking asseater is heading toward me on the highway and runs me off the road! All I see is two headlights coming fucking right at me! I drove off the road and almost hit a tree. Some farmer had to pull me out. I'd like to kill the motherfucker who did that!"
I was watching this scene wondering what the significance might be when it me. There is a scene that has been shown in trailers but that we haven't seen in the show yet. The scene is of Cooper (Dougie) driving a car at night. What if Cooper (Dougie) is the car that ran Trick off the road? We already know that Dougie isn't very good at interacting with the world around him. While he may be able to drive by the time this driving scene happens, Dougie may still be unaware enough to run someone off the road without hesitation or another thought.
It could also be Richard leaving Twin Peaks for Montana. Or it maybe Richard driving after he killed the boy. It is hard to work out timelines in this series. Is it future or is it past?
or that crazy screaming lady with the puking girl...:)
Interesting theory. We'll have to see!
On a side note: The actor who plays Trick is Scott Coffey.
Back in April 2016, when the full cast list for The Return was announced (I say "full," thought I'm still hoping -- likely in vain -- that we see David Bowie, Heather Graham and Joan Chen), Scott Coffey was listed, with an asterisk. As most of us know (and as it states above the list of names), an asterisk next to someone denotes that they have previously appeared in the Twin Peaks world.
Here is an article with the list: http://deadline.com/2016/04/twin-peaks-full-cast-david-lynch-showtime-series-1201743122/
Thing is, I don't remember him from the original 1990-91 run, nor from FWWM. When I go to the actor's IMDB page, it doesn't list either the original show or the film.
Anyone know what's up? Was it simply a mistake with the asterisk?
I assumed that it was Richard Horne driving like a lunatic. But then again, when I assume, I make an 'ass' out of 'u' and 'me'. Do you see what I did there?
Yep, I'll get my coat...
Yes! I connected it to the scene from the trailer too. But I thought it would be Mister C driving into town. There's a thread in Ep. 12 sub-forum asking if it was a black FBI suit that Hutch put into the black bag for him (with guns and phones?).
Upon reflection, Mister C knows how to drive and Dougie Coop doesn't. QUICK! Find that trailer scene. Is it a white BMW??
i guess it coulda been crazy Richard, but he had already left town. Hmm. And it seems to me the only mis-ordered scenes occur in the RR Diner, not the Roadhouse etc.

Hi Jesse,
I was the OP at that thread, and I believe now more firmly than before that there is a black suit inside that brown bag. Some of the posters on that thread seemed inclined to believe that the bag was full of guns, big guns. Mr. C has already shown he doesn't need big guns to achieve is goals. He has his own ways.
He's done with Ray. What now? Twin Peaks, I presume. It's time to look like the good old Coop!
He's gonna need a nice Coop haircut and good bath too. 🙂
I also think Mr. C is on the way to Twin Peaks. What I don't understand is why he needed wanted coordinates. He knows where the town is. He knows where to go in the woods for the Lodge entrance. Where are the coordinates leading and why?

I'm putting my money on the Palmer's house. That creepy fan looks like a portal/vortex to me. And Sarah is the most relevant MOTHER in Twin Peaks! Of course, i might as well be completely wrong. 🙂

He probably doesn't know where Jack Rabbit's Palace is. Maybe that?
Could it have anything to do with the painting in Sarah Palmer's room?

That's what I think. The coordinates point specifically to Jack Rabbit's Palace.
or maybe more accurately: 253 yards east of it
