Around the dinner table, the conversation was lively. Thank you but for now, the forum has been archived.
...This is not how announcer's talk about boxing...
Now This is definitely strange. The commentator had the right style of delivery, but it was as if he'd never seen a boxing match before and had no idea how to describe the sport. Was it whichever entity is hanging around Sarah and her house, momentarily speaking through her TV?
(with apologies to The Supremes)
Through the mirror of my mind
Time after time
I see reflections of you and me
Reflections of
The way life used to be
Reflections of
The love you took from me
Oh, I'm all alone now
No love to shield me
Trapped in a world
That's a distorted reality
Happiness you took from me
And left me alone
With only memories
Through the mirror of my mind
Through these tears that I'm crying
Reflects a hurt I can't control
'Cause although you're gone
I keep holding on
To the happy times
Oh, when you were mine
As I peer through the window
Of lost time
Looking over my yesterdays
And all the love I gave all in vain
(All the love) All the love
That I've wasted
(All the tears) All the tears
That I've tasted
All in vain
Through the hollow of my tears
I see a dream that's lost
From the hurt
That you have caused
Everywhere I turn
Seems like everything I see
Reflects the love that used to be
In you I put
All my faith and trust
Right before my eyes
My world has turned to dust
After all the nights
I sat alone and wept
Just a handful of promises
Are all that's left of loving you
Reflections of
The way life used to be
Reflections of
The love you took from me
In you I put
All my faith and trust
Right before my eyes
My world has turned to dust
Hmmm, that could apply to any number of characters on Twin Peaks.

And in all of these did anyone notice the dialogue that is looping.....
"Oh, the right hand catches the big guy by the ear! And he finally goes down, hangs onto the ropes. Oh, the gentleman asks him if he's okay. Looks like, uh, round number one or two under way. Now it's a boxing match again."This is not how announcer's talk about boxing.
Having no clue what round it is.
The gentleman instead of ref.
Calling the boxer the big guy instead of his name
It appears to be an old clip, perhaps from the 50's (which might support the Bushnell theory)- not an expert here, but my sense is that boxing commentary was very different back then.

For all you watching multiple times for the mirror effect (or non effect), do you notice that the audio of the boxing match is not exactly the same each time?
He says the same things but the timing is different each run. Actually, I think it's like:
Version A
VersionB
VersionA
VersionB
VersionC
and I kinda lost track then. But it's possible that they're all a little different and no two are identical. So, that's odd. Mostly you can find it by how quickly the "BwonkBwonkBwonk" of the playback starting over chases the last comment of the broadcaster. Once you notice that, then you start to notice all the timing between comments is variable. Gripping stuff here.
Okay, my last post on the subject. Slow down the YouTube video to .25 speed and compare Sarah's movements with the reflection in the left mirror.

^^^ This. Exactly. The most blatant part is around 1:39, after she returns from the kitchen and starts pouring her second drink. Her head does not move but the reflection moves down and out then back up into the mirror.
