Around the dinner table, the conversation was lively. Thank you but for now, the forum has been archived.
Makes me want one of these :
I very much doubt it. There are plenty of RL products in the show - which may or may not have been paid for - but that's a real stretch.

David Lynch has stated that he despises product placement. I always thought that it was funny in Lost Highway when he had a complete close-up shot of the Ford logo to ironically stress that point.
Still, a golden arch... What else can it be?
Maybe it's to counterbalance the Wendy's product placement?
Just having fun here.
No way. Lynch would not stoop that low, and he is vegetarian.
I hope Tchaikovsky's estate gets lots of royalties for that looped snippet of Swan Lake :-).
In Ep. 13 Shelly pours sodas from a Coke machine with all their brands, and in 12 Sarah buys her Smirnoff's vodka from a store aisle that has all "real" brands (although in 13 as she's watching the boxing match the bottle she's drinking from simply reads "vodka").

Very much doubt it. There are no royalties to be paid on music of that age. It's long, long past the time. Any royalties due would be for the performance, not the music.
A fairly recent US ruling on copyright extended the royalty period on recorded music, but not soon enough, or by enough, IIRC, to save RCA when the copyright on Elvis' old stuff expired.

In real life there are plenty of branded goods. It'd be ridiculous to expect anyone in Twin Peaks to not see or buy some from time to time.
Vodka for a bloody mary can be any old brand. Smirnoff is best enjoyed on its own or in a vodka martini. Mind you, the red label stuff isn't that great; I'd rather drink Absolut or Russian Standard.
