Trying to tie a few storylines together: Last week, Margaret told Hawk 'there is fire where you are going'. Hawk visits Sarah at her home. Something in the kitchen? Black Fire?

More like Black Label Smirnoff. And a very nice vodka it is, too.
Sarah is possessed by Smirnoff. I think maybe she was having a moment of sober lucidity which either allowed her to see things her addled drunk brain didn't see before, or that allowed her perception to change and her "spooky" to surface.
Notice when Hawk showed up, she was drunk again.
"Not to mention being traumatized and still living in that house, all by herself, subsisting on a diet of bloody marys and cigarettes, apparently."
If you had a nickel for every cigarette she smoked, you'd be dead.
Yeah but I could play a whole lotta nickel slots at the local tribal casino.
*points to self* Ms. Jackpots

Without chemicals she points, perhaps. Maybe staying drunk keeps the demons away both literally and figuratively.

Precisely.

... a classy kind of creepiness from actress Grace Zabriskie that reminds me of Bette Davis for some reason... ahhh, she's got Bette Davis Eyes!

Hehe. Buried in nickels. Still, I guess the change would do you good.

That's funny, but you're right - she drinks to stifle the "sight". Good observation.
Grace Zabriskie as Sarah certainly provided some creepy moments in this episode. Whether or not Bob is involved, and is the "Something" in the kitchen, we did have several shots of the fan which we associate him with, starting when Hawk first walked up to the door. Seeing the fan made me flash on the extended scene from "The Missing Pieces" with Bob talking to Laura through the fan.
