Since Ray drove off in Part 8, I've wondered about his whereabouts and such.

  1. why did the woodsmen allow him to drive away?
  2. was it Phillip Jeffries he reported to?
  3. has he learned of Darya's death?
  4. would he return to Buella's place?
  5. will he travel to coordinates he has memorized?
  6. has the long arm of Mr. C reached out to crunch Ray's jawbone already?

Once again, Ray is one of those characters I've been rooting for to turn out to be a GOOD guy... maybe working with Jeffries/FBI Director Denise? What do you think Ray is up to lately?

Presumably he continued on his way to "the Farm." I am surprised we haven't seen Mr C come to kill him, or at all, since Part 9. I assumed that was where Mr C was headed.

After episode 8 I posted a theory that Ray would be massively important and be the de-facto Jeffries character with Bowie unavailable. Seems I couldn't have been wronger and he seems to have gone the way of multiple characters and just disappeared from the story

Even though it's been a month for us it's only been about a day in the world of the show.

Well he haven't seen Mr C himself for a while either. Maybe Rays role is done, since Mr C has no more use for him. He has the coordinates now, we may assume. Of course it may also depend on whether the "farm" has any meaning for future actions. It seems like they might both be headed that way.

When Ray said "the Farm" the first thing I thought of was Dead Dog Farm...

The dead dog legs... it's near Twin Peaks...

I think the coordinates might lead to Dead Dog Farm. I've always theorised that place has some connection to the Lodges.

I don't recall Mr. C getting the co-ordinates - Ray had them, and took off after the shooting, so wouldn't Mr. C still be after Ray?

Well, I guess i am assuming a connection between bad coop and Diane. She got coordinates off that body. I thought those were the same as the ones Ray would have memorized?

Ray may have been bluffing about having coordinates.  If he was working with Jeffries and Albert indicated that there was a separate investigation going on that Albert & Gordon may not know about - Ray may be a Blue Rose agent and his imprisonment and promise of coordinates may have been a trap for Mr. C?

Dead Dog Farm - I'd bet a fiver you're right - the best and the worst wind up there, they said in the last series.  Good catch!

Almost forgot about something else that has intrigued me since Part 1 when Mr. C shows up at Buella's to fetch Darya and Ray. As they go to follow Mr. C out the door, both Darya and Ray stop to hand the fellow in the wheelchair what looks to be index cards. It wasn't like they were trying to HIDE anything from Mr. C... Darya even had a second with the bib-overall/gun toting gent; she almost seemed to be miming 'so long, take care, I won't ever be seeing you folks again' ... but what might those cards be about? Also noticed the 2 black phones between Wheely Dan and Jethro Tall... could they somehow be waiting for Jeffries to send a message? or Diane? Or relay from one to the other?

Very possible, JMS. Ray seems a kind of street-smart, any-methods-go, undercover Chet Desmond. And Diane appears to be pursuing her personal goals outside official channels (though now co-opted) because of her mistrust of the FBI/men.

Ray should be tracking Mr. C, since he said on his phone conversation after shooting Mr. C 'I know where hes going and ill get him there if hes not dead'.  Also, before he shot Mr. C, Ray asked him where they were going and Mr. C said 'the farm'.  Then, when Cooper was texting Duncan while standing by the truck at the farm, Chantal was scanning the horizon in the distance, looked at Mr. C, then went back to the horizon and smiled in acknowledgement/surprise, as if noticing something/someone familiar there.   Finally, when Mr. C was getting the guns from Hutch, a red light appeared towards the bottom left corner of the truck's door to indicate the presence of the third party targeting Mr. C and his truck(same one Chantal noticed before), that probably is going to follow him where hes going, has some kind of trace on the truck.  Ray is a likely candidate to be the one who Chantal noticed and who was the source of that red light.

Hi Murat,

I've rewatched both scenes last night and here's what I think. After shooting Mr. C,  Ray says on the phone (don't remember the exact words) that Mr. C knows where he's going, so he expects him to follow his trail (not the contrary). So, I think no tracking is involved. Besides, before the shooting Mr. C says he knows that Ray would like to go to that place they call the farm. It isn´t quite clear if this place is the same where Mr. C meets Chantal and Hutch.
