Around the dinner table, the conversation was lively. Thank you but for now, the forum has been archived.
There is much that I enjoy about the third season and the new character directions, but I don't see any logic to the way Audrey is written now. She was never a diabolical bitch. She was kind at heart. Sure, a lot can happen in 25 years, but it just feels off.
Also seems clear that the last 6 episodes will introduce more new strands that will be left unaddressed until a hypothetical 4th season.
I don't get the obsession with Audrey. There...I said it. She's a great character but I never anticipated her return.
You know what I really hate that.. half the cast I could live without out.. like I for one have always hated Shelley but I usually keep that opinion to myself cause it's my opinion .. I love Audrey so much I will take her any way I can get her ?
Audrey for me is the best female character ever in fiction!
Also i just read some theories about Audrey is not married to Charlie ans he is her psychiatrist? i dont know about that.. could be?

I personally don't think that's possible but in Twin Peaks anything is possible ?
Or, is Audrey an actress and that was a scene for.. let's say, Invitation To Love?
Daaaamn so many theories out now..
im just glad Audrey is back!

Me too love my Audrey ❤️❤️
This is avant-garde story telling. I don't have any sympathy for people who're watching this hoping for entertainment and satisfaction.
It is certainly possible to enjoy it as both avant-garde story telling and entertainment. I find satisfaction in the curious mixture of the two.
No, I felt Albert's frustration too. I also wanted to choke the French chick.
This is a pretty disturbing thing to say in a Twin Peaks web forum... Art imitates life, I suppose
.
She was never a diabolical bitch.
Tell that to the poor old secretary at the Great Northern who is probably still cleaning coffee off of her desk and salvaging what she could of those papers...
In any case, I didn't read her as "diabolical" in part 12. Bitchy, sure, but she always knew how to get shit done.
This will likely be remembered as the Sarah Palmer episode rather than the Audrey returns episode. The Audrey storyline doesn't seem that relevant to the big picture, while Sarah was setup to play an important role.
Grace Zabriskie was scary as hell.
Actually I think Audrey storyline is leading up to something very important .. the one thing I got out of it the most is she doesn't seem to know who the hell Richard is.. wtf??
I've been contending for some time that there is still no reason to conclude with certainty that Richard is Audrey's son. Other possibilities, from most to least likely, IMO:
1) Richard is Ben Horne's illegitimate child and Sylvia and Ben describe him as their "grandson" to shelter the family from gossip/opprobrium. Ditto the possibility of Richard being Jerry Horne's illegitimate child.
2) Richard is Jonny's son.
3) Richard is adopted.
When I first saw Audrey talking, I though she might be in an insane asylum and the whole conversation was a fantasy-role play with her psychiatrist. The I thought she was an actress doing a show. A far cry from the political activist who chained herself to the bank vault door.
At least we know she isn't comotose, but that's about all we know. Billy may be dead, that could be why her husband ????became quiet after the phone call. Not sure it has anything to do with Richard.
I thought so too! That guy behind the desk sure reminded me more of a psychiatrist than a possible husband for Audrey.
Seems a little bit odd that Truman would pay Ben Horne a visit, and not any of Richards parents
Good point about Truman visiting Ben first. Are we sure Audrey is even in Twin Peaks, or talking about the same people? I know it's very possible we won't get a clear answer to this, but she could be mirroring Coop's situation and, one way or another, be far away.

Bad,
Don't forget Donna's son as another option!

Hank was the best of the bookhouse boys, according to Harry.
