My thoughts exactly, MJ. I remember Sarah having a "vision" where she saw a unicorn in her bedroom, while she was lying in bed. This was either in season 2 or FWWM , I can't remember which. It seems that she has some kind of connection with the Lounge or something else, she is obviously disturbed by something. Interesting!
Not a unicorn, Jim. A White Horse. The same one we saw in, what, part 2?

I like this idea of the Jerky packages and can't wait to get a better look at them on 2nd watch.
“Were you here when they first came?”
It's not about the jerky.
Albatross jerky..
Could it be about the jerky? 😉
Wasn't Laura long gone like a turkey in the corn?
I am not convinced she is posessed. She was always pretty out there, always had visions, always on the edge. And maybe she swollowed the frog bug...
AND- she has to be just about the most broken person ever. How is she still living in that house!?!
Apparently by subsisting on a diet of bloody mary's and salem cigarettes. You're so right; deep trauma impacts the brain in such a devastating way. They really showed how horrifying her experience has been, and that she's had to live with it. In a way, though, she'd have to stay there, if she can't let go of her memories. Everyone she ever loved is connected to her by that house; although so are so many tragic and nightmarish memories.
Yes, she is a deeply traumatized woman, whether or not she is also the girl from episode 8.
The beef jerky logo as a substitute for The Experiment feels like a reach, but it could be the case.
The first thing I thought of was her watching the brutal animal TV show where the tigers(?) savage the other animal for its meat.
When human beings savage each other that's what we're reduced to: carved beef. Not pretty.
As someone with experience with ghosts/spirits, I'd say there's a fair chance the fictional Palmer house is haunted or infected. Could be Leland, Maddy, or a squad of lumberjacks. You'd need a whole crew of mediums to clean out the bad energy in real life probably.
Is it the Turkey Jerky or does the female cashier assume Sarah means the Turkey Jerky?
The latter, I think. I think the cashier misunderstands everything Sarah is saying. "Were you there when they first arrived?" was NOT about the jerky delivery (and may reinforce the notion of her being the girl who swallowed the frogbug). Not sure what "is it smoked" is about, but I do not think that Sarah, at that moment, is interested in the flavor profile of the jerky.
Sarah won this episode.

Hawk visits: the ceiling fan is on ( ! ). He notices some of the strange things she says ( as well as the noise: "is someone else here?" "just something in the kitchen." )
That the ceiling fan is ON plus our attention is directed to it via the sound (pay attention to the sounds!) to me is a clear warning that something extra-ordinary is present. Sarah's behaviour could be explained away, but not that fan!
Oh mairzy doats and dozy doats
And little lambsy dyvy,
A kiddle-dee-dyvy too,
Wouldn't you?
All over again 😀
The horse is the white of the eyes and the dark within.
"Gobble gobble"
"Albatross!" someone go get SamX, that's a classic Python skit!

Already got one lined up. Hehe.
the Albatross jerky logo is interesting, but even the word albatross in relation to Sarah gave me the heebiejeebies.
