My my, I still don't have a decoder for all this, except I'll add that blue could definitely make sense as "truth or uncovering" truth given Dougie Cooper's fascination with lawmen in blue. (Yes, FBI agents wear black, but this season, he's been drawn to all LEO, as I imagine young Dale Cooper was. There are cowboys in Sonny Jim's room, probably also reflecting Dale Cooper's childhood.)
As for Diane, dang, she's an enigma. She also has each fingernail painted a different color all the time--and different sets of colors in different scenes. As for her being scared in the original interview with Mr. C, I thought yesterday that maybe she was faking that to fool Cole/Albert... but no. Her character seems more complex than that. She could be afraid of Mr. C and still loyal--as a battered person would be. Or she might think the Cooper she's in touch with isn't that guy. Or she's in touch with Jeffries. Or she's in touch with Desmond. Or she's married to John Justice Wheeler!
Back to the colors, giant compendiums will be written about this season's symbols some day, probably not too long from now. It's so nice that they got to write out the whole season at once.
In Catching The Big Fish David Lynch talks about pure conscious being 'like electric gold' and that this 'electric gold activates these little cleaning robots.....They put in gold where the dirt and junk and garbage were.....You're on the road to a beautiful state of enlightenment.' This is represented in Twin Peaks by Lawrence Jacoby and his radio broadcasts and gold shovels. Blue is for truth as represented by Blue Rose cases looking for the truth behind the mystery, red is for dream states as in the red room and yellow/gold for enlightenment. Though truth and enlightenment could be classed as the same thing. Isn't green a mixture of blue and yellow? Or am I wrong about that?

Yes green in yellow plus blue.
I've got no time now to organize all the colours symbolism in the series but it's a good idea the one you suggest Mynok.
