We finally got a little more information about the background of the Blue Rose case: it got it's name from a phrase uttered by a woman involved with one of the cases shortly before she died...and Albert mentioned that she suggested that, "these answers could not be reached except by an alternate path we've been travelling ever since. And that the case was headed by Chet, Albert, Philip Jeffries and Cooper(and now Tammy). So it seems like they will be exploring "alternate paths" in order to solve this case.
Also, they know Diane is in cahoots with Bad Coop...so why deputize her? Keep your friends close and your enemies closer I guess, but they may be trying to get her to lead them to Bad Coop.
Prediction/Spoiler: Diane was Bill Hastings assistant Ray mentioned to Bad Cooper, so Ray got the coordinates from her.
If Diane was the assistant and had the coordinates, why does she need to get them again from Ruth's arm?
And the secretary was apparently killed shortly after Hastings wife.
The woman who helped Hastings was whose head was found with Briggs' body.

There were two women, Ruth, which worked at the library IIRC, and Hasting's assistant/secretary, whom was killed in a car explosion according to what Ray said. She was called Betty.
I don't think they necessarily know she's working with Coop (and I don't think she necessarily is), they know she's leaking information and they obviously suspect Cooper might be the recipient of those texts but I don't believe they are sure about it and they're watching her.

They could be different coordinates, there's been mention of a few different coordinates already. And I meant secretary, not assistant

They never mentioned Ruth being his secretary, though.

Oh okay, I don't remember when Ray said that
I loved that scene, a bit of backstory about blue rose cases. Great stuff!
I think she is talking with Philip Jeffries not bad coop..
I think she is talking with Philip Jeffries not bad coop..
But we know she responded to the text "Around the dinner table the conversation is lively" which was sent by Mr. C when he finally made it to the location where Chantal and Hutch were waiting.
I think she is talking with Philip Jeffries not bad coop..
I think so, too, but am not sure whether he's a good guy or not. I was thinking it might be a Doppleganger Jeffries as a rival to Bad Coop but it could also be the actual/original Jeffries who is reluctant to work with the FBI for fear they've been inflitrated.
Significance of Miriam having some blue roses (and other flowers) by her bedside?
We finally got a little more information about the background of the Blue Rose ...
That really was a nice start to the episode, to have the exact meaning of Blue Rose finally spelled out. It would be more accurate to say "a" Blue Rose case, not "the" Blue Rose case, since that's the code phrase Cole and Albert have used whenever they deal with a situation that could be one that requires approaching by "an alternate path."
