I still don't fully trust Tammy and I feel like Gordon/Albert don't either and are setting her up
I have the complete opposite feel. But that scene was surreal.
I've not liked some people's comments about Tammy and the actress who played her, but I have to admit that she was just plain strange in that scene. Not sure what's going on with her. And, no, I don't completely trust her.
What made that scene even more interesting was how they deputized Diane. Obviously, they're suspicious of Diane, so the deputization was just a ruse. I wonder if the Blue Rose bit with Tammy was the same?
Not sure about Diane, but I don't think Tammy is a villain. I'm still processing the episode but just wanted to throw that out there! lol
She might disappear before Albert does. Thought the "join the exclusive team," Tammy, "you're deputised," Diane, double-play was more scripting genius (Frost or Lynch?).
I honestly don't think Tammy is a villain. Maybe I'm an idiot, but I don't see it. I'm not entirely sure what will happen to her, and I don't think it's going to end up very well for either Albert or Tammy.

Agreed on your first sentence.

They co-wrote the script.

No, as Gordon said to Denise, Tammy has what it takes.
They co-wrote the script.
Right, Karen. I'm wondering for a moment whether this doubling, which seems so Lynchian/directorial, might not be a more proper scripting move, and that Frost's contribution might be too often overlooked. Wondering.
I like Tammy. If The Secret History of Twin Peaks has ANYTHING to do with how the show unfolds, I trust her too.

Nope, more like they are setting Diane up. It seems Tammy earned their trust.
(Slight spoiler for The Secret History of Twin Peaks.)
I trust Tammy completely. Her character arc this season appears to set her up to do her work on Secret History, which if anything cements her as a canonically loyal character. The only slight problem I have is Chrysta Bell's acting, but nothing about her so far makes me think her character is a potential traitor.
And I don't see how Secret History couldn't be considered canon, given that it's by Mark Frost and pretty much exists solely to provide greater context for the show. And the double reveal at the end? Tammy's role there is important, this isn't just some throwaway "spin-off" novel.
I did not see anything odd about Tammy's reaction. She felt honored and proud to be recognized by Gordon and Albert and to have been selected for the team.

Gordon and Albert already discussed the fact that their strategy for Diane was to "keep her close". Given the fact that their original reason for bringing her along is over, "deputizing" her makes sense as a way to keep her close.
I don't suspect Tammy of any shenanigans at all.
