It struck me tonight that Cooper could have woken up a while ago, and is pretending to be an idiot in order to draw in his doppelgänger and terminate him........? If BadCoop has GoodCoop's memories, it might not be a stretch to think that GoodCoop has Mr C's as well...

If he is pretending, then he's an even better actor than Kyle MacLachlan!
I think there would be some moments of self-preservation that would've kicked in (similar to the Ike the Spike self-defense karate chop) if he were just pretending. It'd be interesting if he was more aware than he was letting on.
