Not sure if anyone has mentioned this yet but that was Burt Bacharach playing piano in the final scene, right?
Ah. Didn't know. Thought he looked a lot like Tom Baker, which would have been really funny.
From what I've read there seems to be a bit of disagreement over who it is. Some people saying it's Angelo Badalamenti himself since it says "Written and Performed by Angelo Badalamenti" in the credits for the song.
I wasn't aware anyone had a theory as to who the pianist was apart from Badalamenti so this is interesting.
Not Angelo playing. As far as I can recall, seems the guy had a bit fuller face than Burt has ( probably younger ), I'll have to rewatch to be sure.
BTW, movies and tv shows do use a fake piano ( no strings inside ), faked playing matched with a recording.
@TwinPeaksArchive ( https://twitter.com/TwinPeaksArchve) wrote is an actor called Smokey Miles http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1493617/
Weird that so many people thought it was Angelo.
Good to know my memory isn't going in middle age ( if I live to be 110 ). Definitely right about fuller face & younger than Burt.
Hmmm, agree it couldn't have been him from last year, but maybe old footage from years ago was used? Still convinced it's Burt - like you say definitely not Angelo despite being credited. Maybe it's Burt's doppleganger 🙂
Hello, what is this composition called?

"Heartbreaking"
I'm sticking with Tom Baker even though I know it isn't.
Sounded like he played more than one song during that set. I'm assuming "heart breaking" was the one with the pronounced tone that caught Dougie's attention?

Who?
Just kidding. 😉

I think he wasn't played piano (or even trying to fake it).
It reminds me a lot "No hay banda" from mulholland drive.
there's no (real) pianist, and yet we heard (and see) the piano.
