The Mitchum brothers  are eating breakfast at 2:23......he found that odd and it does seem a bit out of place.

Also the flow of time relative to other timelines. The slot-machine addict had enough time to find her son, get a house and re-establish her life. A significant few days had to have passed. Enough also that the Driver doesn't immediately recognize Dougie as the Red Door guy.

I remarked about the time to my wife, but remembered at least one big night in Vegas on New Year's Eve once, I... Oh wait. What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas... 🙂

That said, Vegas runs 24/7 and especially into the wee small hours, and in a sense an alternate reality, so I didn't think it was too out of whack.

How old is your son? I only ask, because methinks it's all about to kick off in part 12 - Let's Rock. 🙂

I figure the brothers stay up really late because they work at the casino and probably start their days late too. When Tony comes by to let them know that "they have an enemy in Douglas Jones" he shows up after midnight.  The slot machine lady's timeline does seem fast, but she's older and she's probably always dreamed of what she'd do if she had the money to turn her life around.

Also I too tried to keep my too young daughter from watching me binge watch the original two seasons and failed.  Now every time she sees Laura's prom picture she says "Is that the DEAD girl??"  Mom fail.

Not really. If your business is running a casino, where most activity happens at night, it makes sense. Stay up all night working at your casino, then sleep in until the afternoon. Nothing out of place about that.

It's a rock n roll lifestyle.  Sleep all day, party all night.

Just like the Lost Boys did in the 80s.

When my daughter was 7 or 8 she saw my Diary of Laura Palmer and thought it i was like a tween drama book with the picture of the prom queen on it. I didn't know she took it to read. Apparently it scarred her for life. 14 years later she still yells at me or owning that book.

I agree. They probably get home from work around 5 or 6 a.m. and take a good long rest before waking up a little before 2. Mandie, Candie, and Sandie appear to be live-in assistants who handle household duties. Rather snazzy uniforms.

OH!  Oh boy, that book scarred ME for life!  Haha, definitely a note to put that book on a higher or secret shelf for the future.  Good point about it looking like a tween romance novel. XD

I sat down with my son to show him the pilot episode of Twin Peaks - thinking that at 13 he might get it.
I looked up a streamed version (I've still got all the original episodes on video, but we don't appear to have a video player!) but what I hadn't counted on was that it was the European pilot.  At the end, Mike shoots Bob dead.
I'm sitting going 'WTF?!' and son is saying 'I thought you said that Bob guy was scary.  He's not going to do anything now'
I muttered about 'one version of a story', but he'd given up by then...

I have to agree it's not that uncommon.. aren't they in Vegas?? They have no clocks in Vegas in any of the casinos so I would assume they don't follow standard time ..
