I didn't see such topic anywhere and I don't know whether it's relevant but I'm almost certain that  Rodney Mitchum had said something backwards right before Dougie said "Damn good". Or is it just me?

There's a lot going on in that scene.  We quickly learn they are orphans, and then it is as if Lynch is telling us to listen more than we watch.

The elder Mitchum brother definitely calls Candie "Annie" at one point.  Dougie sort of confusingly either says "friend" or "friend, no" (I've watched it 100x now and I hear it both ways).

Did not notice any backwards speak from Mitchum but that wouldn't be shocking.  Actually it would be, as I'm patiently waiting on Candie to slip up and say something backwards.

michalek, I don't think he spoke backwards - he seemed to say "This pie is so damn good".

I do agree with kdawg that he seems to clearly say "Annie, look at me.  Where were you?"

When the girls come over, Mitchum seems to say " Annie, Candie, Annie, look at me.  Where have you been?"  But it is quite indistinct.

Hmm, and I assumed that they established an orphanage that works by their funds. Kinda to counterbalance crimes by good deeds and to calm conscience.

I guess you right.

I need to rewatch this sequence, I think I was enjoying Cooper eating pie too much to notice the important details. 😀

If her name is Annie and that triggers an Annie memory THAT could be an exciting development!

Hahaha, this is REALLY OT, but I was reading and wondering why the, how do you say it, poster? Why he/she was arguing with him/herself? Then realized that it was just the avatars looking "alike". Thanks for the laugh! =)

I have no idea how to change my avatar here. I've looked a few times and couldn't figure it out.

No, don't do that, it was funny. =)
But I haven't tried, cause I linked my Facebook account, so I never chose anything.
