Prior to making him their best pal, the amount that the Mitchum brothers seem to think DougieCoop ripped them off for at the casino keeps going up.
In part 4 he has won $425,000
In part 10 it's $447,000 ($30,447,000 with the "lost" insurance money)
By part 11 it's $472,000 ($30,472,00)
Thoughts?
I'm glad you mentioned that, because when they said he'd taken them for $30 million and also $472k I was quite surprised, 'cos that wasn't the figure I expected them to say. If you were that pissed off at somebody, you'd remember exactly how much they won.
No idea what it means though!
a) the Mitchum brothers mentally add on interest to anything they think they're owed (too boring to be right)
b) every scene takes place in a slightly different parallel universe (many worlds theory)
c) what's $22,000 or $35,000 really? (!)
d) Lynch is having a laugh
e) nothing at all
f) something completely different
Safe money is on (f), of course.
b) is the lazy person's reaction to every moment in the new show.
My feeling on this was that in the scene where Rodney beat up the casino floor manager, they asked him how much that man won and he replied $425,000. The Mitchums most likely reviewed the night more closely at some point, though, and also saw the winnings of the Jackpots hobo woman, who cleaned up so nicely in this episode to praise Good Coop. The extra $47,000 were the two jackpots that Cooper led Jackpots hobo lady to win imho.
