Now that we know that Bobby is Becky's father, we also know that she is the granddaughter of Major Briggs. I wonder if that will have any significance as the story progresses?

The Threnody playing under her scene is also food for thought...

She's certainly taking after her mother's side so far in the series, perhaps she will take after the (grand)father's sometime before this season is over!

God I feel like an idiot for overthinking a lot of (probably) irrelevant tiny details and missing this obvious connection. This is what Twin Peaks does to me. And yeah, while it doesn't necessarily mean anything, it's definitely something worth keeping an eye on.

Another thing worth considering is that Becky's mother's boyfriend (Red) is involved in bringing drugs into Twin Peaks. Becky's problems are largely due to drugs. So, while it's lovely to see Shelley be so caring towards her daughter, if she really wants to put an end to that mess, she should quit screwing the local drug lord.

The new Bobby would definitely be a better choice, but I'm sure we're all thinking that...

Watch out for Becky finding an Owl Cave symbol ring...

Possibly episode 12 'Let's Rock' (think back to where that came from; the ring was close)

Chet took the ring ( tried it on maybe? that wasn't shown ) and disappeared. "Let's Rock" was left on his car as a taunt for Cooper.

By the way Karen (and Pieter and SamX): who do you think 'hands' the Owl Cave symbol ring? How did Teresa Banks get it (as Laura with a shock suddenly remembers Teresa Banks wearing it in FWWM)? (By the way: as far as we know Becky is not prostituting herself for cocaine (yet). If Dougie was manufactured by 'the dark side' (in 1997?) - as he was clearly not manufactured by the One Armed Man, who is genuinly surprised by the old Dougie turning up in the Red Room- 'they' are probably able to put the Owl Cave ring on Dougie when he is with Jade. Numbing his left arm. Means silencing the conscience/One Armed Man?

As far as Teresa Banks, Mike could've delivered it in some way, concerned Bob would want to take her over ( he was on Bob's trail to stop him ).

The ring was put on Dougie to stop Bob switching to using his body, probably because the  doppelganger had to go back into the BL.

The first thing I thought when I found out about Becky was "How is this going to tie in to the body of Major Briggs?"

I honestly think they might say that Becky's behaviour is a result of some kind of influence from the Zone (and possibly her grandfather's spirit), whatever the Zone may turn out to be. But that's obviously just a theory. The story could go in any number of little twists and turns, and this could just be useless unless you happen to work for the Twin Peaks Family Tree Co.

Edit: As for the ring, I always thought that the Tremonds had some role in the finding of the ring (apart from maybe Teresa, but that's not shown). Think about it. Desmond found the ring underneath where the "Chalfonts'" trailer was. Laura saw Mrs Tremond beckoning her into a room in her dream, and shortly afterwards saw the Ring in the hands of the MFAP. So I reckon that the Tremonds showed up and somehow led Dougie to the ring.

Good addition AFAP: Mrs. Tremond is of course behind TMFAP  in the Black Lodge when he shows the ring and says 'With This Ring I Thee Wed' (FWWM)
