Hi everyone!
The first time I saw episode 11 I noticed the background art behind Norma in Double R Diner, but I forgot to post it, maybe because of the intensity of the scene.
Is Glastunbury Grove in the wallpaper/mural? Is the entrance to the Black Lodge represented in the background? Obviously there aren't 12 sycamore trees in the image, but there are 4 trees around a black or dark lacuna. Obviously the 2 peaks are represented on the back.
I don't remember if that background was in the first two seasons. But I think David Lynch wanted to show us that detail in that scene.
What do you think?
Oh it's definitely a reference to Glastonbury Grove!
Good catch!
Nice spot!!! Really nice.
Also, anyone else notice how silent Norma has been this season? Not her old warmly loquacious self.

And really nosey!
I was just joking with someone the other day about how she's almost always seated at a booth in the back, going over paperwork.

I don't think she's being nosey. I think she's being aware of what's going on in her diner and maybe even a little aware of what's going on in town these days.
IIiiiiiinteresting!
Are they filming inside the actual location diner or are they filming on a set?
Glastonbury Grove, allegedly, (according to canon) is to the left of the left peak....I say allegedly because it and the falls have moved to different locations in Hawk's map than where they were on the owl Cave map....The falls have moved to a completely different peak, and Glastonbury Grove is now centered below the left peak.....odd
Here's where Glasto and the falls were on the Owl Cave map....
Actually, in the book "The Secret History" there's a picture of the map, and it's in the opossite direction (it's a mirror)
Which one is the right one?
So rematching episode 11 it appears to go from the grove to the Great Northern on the far left of the mural. Which means the perspective on the mural may be rotated on some landmarks.

Here's the 1-1 copy Cooper drew on the blackboard-seems TSHOTP flipped it
I'm going to be the party pooper of the thread and say that I'm not 100% convinced the image represents Glastonbury Cove 🙂
