I really don't want Albert to be bad. I love the Cole-Albert interaction, they seem like such a great team. And Albert seemed very remorseful when telling Cole that he provided Jeffries with information all those years ago. But then there's that strange vision of Laura that Cole had, that seemed to implicate that something's wrong. So I'm unsure, but hoping that Albert is one of the good ones.
I didn't get any idea that that Gordon's vision of Laura had anything to do with Albert - he just happened to be standing there when it went away. Why she appeared when and where she did has yet to be explained.
Albert has always been a dichotomy on his own plane of existence. A conundrum, an enigma, a being on the brink of becoming an otherworldly holy man,
'Splained. 😉
Specifically, in Part 11, these particular conspiracy theorists point to how Albert yanked Cole out of the dimensional rift.
I agree with you. Regardless of how much Albert believes in the supernatural, he probably has good reasons to believe that if someone disappears like that, they might not be back for a long time, i.e., Desmond, Jeffries, and Cooper. Plus, if they do make it back, they seem to be irreparably altered. Why would he think Cole would be any different? I think concluding that Albert was bad for doing that doesn't make a lot of sense. It was probably out of a sense of loyalty and protection, not malice. Plus, I love the character Albert, he better not be bad.

I think Albert is over any cynicism he ever had about the weirdness (if he ever had any- he was in Philadelphia when Phillip Jeffries appeared).
He and Gordon went to this place to confirm a suspicion ("now we know" that there is "one"- they are referring to something they know about).
Albert is a changed man, however. And I don't think it is because Miguel Ferrar was too ill to be abrasive.
A universe where Albert or Hawk or Gordon are evil is not a universe I want to live in...
