Around the dinner table, the conversation was lively. Thank you but for now, the forum has been archived.
When Candy is chasing the fly is there a red balloon in the glass cupboard over the bar. And if so what is up with all these red balloons in Vegas.
The red balloon was also mentioned by Jacoby/Dr. Amp. What could it mean if anything?
Not sure if that's a red balloon or bowl... But well-spotted!
I think Episode 10 is 'The Balloon is About to Go Up'. This is rock bottom - relationships are awful and there is no bright future.
So what happens next...?

I've been wondering whether they have something to do with the other symbol in major Briggs message, the one that looks like a red moon/sun.
there is definitely something about the balloons...
they were also in FWWM at HAPS you can see them in the same frame with the weird crying Clown insignia with a triangular green hat... always thought clowns and red balloons went well together (IT)
Even Belushi says "like a red balloon about to explode" ...or something like that
now we have coins...red shoes...red balloons...
Moonchild on an aside after watching the scene in the Purple room and watching the Laura Orb replace the moon for a bit, I am holding more and more to your moonchild theory. I must admit I am biased in that theory because I was first exposed to the Moonchild myth from other sources and couldn't see the fit.
The whole red balloon thing makes me think of that film and wondering why that would be here but something about the scenes with Candy really getting me. The last scene where she seems lost in the corner and really stretching the dumb blonde stereotype, I hope there is something more to her as this subplot fleshes out.
Something about the red balloon in this episode made me wonder if it was a metaphor for the increase in morbid obesity... Heaven knows why... 😉
There's one in the junkie's room in the house opposite where Dougie's car blew up also.
Yep that was always in the backing thought.
