When were the Buckhorn police/morgue people/FBI/Airforce (Knox) planning to notify Betty and Bobby Briggs that the body of their late husband/father has been found? Guess it will be lieutenant Knox who will be heading to Twin Peaks, as will the FBI after investigating the cave in the Black Hills where Ruth & William found Major Briggs hibernating. The FBI team will arrive in Twin Peaks Washington State just in time to join the 'Jack Rabbit's Palace' Bookhouse boys reunion. (As another forum states: 'It's about the bunny after all Hawk!')

Hi William,
Don't forget the increasingly popular time-shift or parallel-time theories about this season. Buckhorn and Twin Peaks are not happening simultaneously, if that idea has any merit.
The discovery of Briggs' body may not even have occurred yet in Twin Peaks time. =:-O

As part of a military/FBI investigation, I think they'll get round to it when they're good and ready.
I don't believe there's a time shift working, either. Maybe a couple of days difference, allowing for different events to be shown, perhaps, but nothing "spooky" going on.
I don't think the Buckhorn police or morgue have any authority to contact the Briggs since this is such a classified case. It would most definitely have to be the Feds who would notify them. And then what do they they say? "Mrs. Briggs? We found the headless body of your long dead husband. He appears to not have aged over the last 25 years and clearly didn't die in a fire. No, you can't see the body and we can't tell you anything else. No, we can't release him either. He's part of a very secret investigation that we can't tell you about. Thanks for your time." *click*
They already mourned him 25 years earlier. Perhaps let sleeping dogs (or headless bodies) lie.

I would love to hear that call though. Albert would nail it.
Yes, Albert would most definitely be the one to make that call. 🙂
It will probably be as 'classified' as everything Briggs worked on himself. So it will be his boss, whatshisname, Davis, bringing the bad news? The superior to Knox.
As I remember, Hastings dated his signature 9/29 and in Twin Peaks they are heading for 10/1 and 10/2. So it looks like Twin Peaks & Buck Horn are 'in sync'.
