Around the dinner table, the conversation was lively. Thank you but for now, the forum has been archived.
In the cast listings, Miriam's last name is shown as Sullivan, but on the return address on the letter she sent to the Sheriff, it said Miriam Hodges. Any ideas? I mean, she's dead now, but it is a loose end.
I noticed that too. I hope it means Chad is an idiot and pulled out the wrong letter.
She was still breathing last seen.
I noticed she was breathing as well. Unfortunately, her living or dying seems to be hinging on Tammy's hope or something similar, because the investigation into the boy's death has been lacking.

Interesting, cause Chad is an idiot, and both postman and Lucy were suspicious of him

I started a thread the other day, since this has been a common complaint. I'm fairly sure the boy's death has happened in the future, the timelines probably aren't lined up, as we've heard Truman saying it's 9/29 in part 9, yet when Andy is waiting for the farmer we get a close shot of his wristwatch and there's the day of the month, which is 10. I'll also give a better look at details in the TP scenes of part 10 to see if there's more evidence about the date (like in the mail or something).
Very good observation. I support the idea that Chad is not very bright and took wrong letter.
I just watched the scene again. Noticed that the postman is holding another pack of letters/mail while he looks at Chad in a suspicious manner. Were all letters delivered to the Sheriff office or was that pack of letters the next door delivery?
Even in a small town like Twin Peaks it's unlikely that a letter is mailed and delivered on the same day. So if Miriam Sullivan (in the trailer) sent a letter "today" (as she told Richard she did), it's unlikely that the letter delivered "today" (sent by "Miriam Hodges") is the letter Miriam Sullivan sent.

Great catch!
To combine and riff off what dannycoco4 and charlesheld are saying (and based on the earlier observations that this letter may not be the one we thought it was): perhaps in such a small town, Miriam might have even spoken directly to the mailman (people still do that sometimes) and conveyed to him the importance of the letter getting to the Sheriff (as opposed to just the police department). The suspicious actions of Chad (this mailman has probably been doing this route for a while, and Chad has probably never done this before) might result in the mailman withholding some of the mail (like he was grabbing the second batch of mail for that address and then held off on handing it over) and making a personal delivery tomorrow (or Lucy then going out and picking up the mail tomorrow when Chad could care less).
Maybe we'll see if careless Chad is willing to look in the envelope to see its contents or just ignore/destroy it. I hope for Miriam's sake, it's delivered and that she lives (unless it's a worse quality of life cause what happened was brutal).

I hope so! Maybe Lucy will figure out a plan to prevent Chad from taking the letters next time (in case Chad realizes that he got the wrong Miriam).
Otherwise I'm hoping Miriam by mistake mailed her letter to the other Sheriff Truman 😉
Miriam may well have been breathing when we last saw her, but am I the only one that noticed that the oven door was open and the gas turned on? I'm not sure that would be too good for her health.

Richard also lit a candle before he left, so I'm guessing he's planning that the trailer will explode?

Though he did knock a giant hole in the front door to let fresh air in. Not the brightest of Horne's.
