Around the dinner table, the conversation was lively. Thank you but for now, the forum has been archived.
Wasn't there a theory about Audrey being the mastermind behind the company trying to get Cooper killed ? It would make sense if she was likely raped by Mr. C
Btw do you also think that Ben and Sylvia are divorced?
Well it seemed to me it was implied when Sylvia said she was going to call her lawyer.
I guess any idea that Audrey could be the woman behind the attempts of murdering Dougie are now defunct considering we now explicitly know that Duncan Todd (and thus all of his hitmen are) is working for the Doppelganger. One theory that I don't like but I guess it's possible is that Audrey's fate might have been the same of Diane.
He could be Johnny's son. (I'm kidding.....I think)
If Evil Cooper is the father of Richard Horne, it's really no surprise he's turned out this way.

RE: Ben and Sylvia being divorced, I took the conversation to mean that they were, but I noticed that Ben is wearing a wedding ring when they are talking on the phone.
Wait a minute...
In the original series, wasn't Donna's father confirmed to be Benjamin Horne?
So, could it be possible that she is the father of Richard?
I had the same thought initially about Donna, but I think because she is written out of the show completely, it seems unlikely.
Also because Richard seems to be about 25 years old, the perfect time for either Mr. C or Wheeler to have impregnated her.

I could swear that somewhere Lynch had said that he was going to completely ignore Donna's character in the third season.
On a related note, I also noticed that Ben was still wearing his wedding ring, even though my guess that they would have divorced by the third season seems to be true.
He also refused Beverly earlier, but then asked her to dinner after the phone call.
So - assuming Ben & Sylvia are divorced (which certainly seemed like the implication - and she appears to have complete responsibility for Johnny as she asked for money, not for Ben to spend time with his son)
But Ben's still wearing a wedding ring - and seemed reluctant to escalate things with Beverly.
Could that mean he's married to someone else?
Also - Richard called Sylvia 'Grandma'. We're assuming he's the grandson of Sylvia AND Ben. But he may have entered the family by another way. I know people dismissed Richard being a Horne if that had been a maternal family name - but lots of children don't take a paternal surname for various reasons. If Sylvia had the 'family' responsibility, she may well have the 'children' of the family use the same surname.
As Myn0k says above, he could possibly be Donna's son & Sylvia was left bring him up. It may be far fetched, but stranger things have happened...

Hi Gina,
There is always the possibility that Ben re-married after divorcing Sylvia. =:-O

Another out-there-but-possible scenario... If Ben and Sylvia did find themselves to be the wealthy, business-owning parents of 2 grown-up children with substantial medical problems - what about an heir to take over the business?
Either a surrogate or an adoption - and it doesn't go to plan.
Again, not likely, but I'm discounting nothing. If Audrey was indeed raped by Mr C (or pregnant by JJ W) I'm not sure her parents would risk her possible recovery for the sake of a very early pregnancy - that's the bit I struggle with.

It could also have meant that Sylvia filed for divorce quite recently and it has not been finalized. Hence Ben is still wearing his ring.
Probably years of taking care of two children w/serious health issues and Ben's continued infidelity (not necessarily with his latest assistant) finally ruined the marriage.

One or more Hayward children is supposed to make an appearance later (Gersten Hayward, played by Alicia Witt). But Donna is not among them and LFB has ruled out appearing in "TP: The Return" as Donna.
Donna is nowhere to be found in the "Secret History of Twin Peaks" book either, so I guess she's been written out completely from the show.
Re: The Coma hypothesis...
According to that ever-trustworthy source of online info, Wikipedia, a coma can last up to "several years", not specifying an upper limit, though. This may be followed by return to consciousness, a progression to vegetative state, or death.
So, Audrey may be in a coma. Bloody long time, but still. Or she may be in a vegetative state. Or kicked the bucket. Or made a full and complete recovery, emigrated to Australia and is now running a Platypus farm in Darwin, or something.
