I believe the series has to be considered a major success, if only for all the viewer discussion and response consistently generated. There are so many little (and big) moments worthy of comment and question, we find ourselves appreciating long, awkward scenes where nothing seems to happen.
Images and moments that linger with me: the woodsman emerging from the clouds at night; the purple ocean; the giant's dwelling, with the scratchy record. Mr. C's odd interview voice, the beautiful atomic blast, and of course Dr. Jacobi's shit-digging shovel ad.
What are some of yours?
Gordon and Albert's blue scene, Mr. C's mirror scene, Laura taking off her face, meeting Richard Horne and Red, all Duncan scenes, the purple room time signature, Janey E kicking major ass in general, the Experiment coming out of the box, squeeze his hand off, Jerry's foot, Becky's scene to name a few in addition to what you mentioned.
Jerrys foot, meeting Diane, basically every scene with Albert and Gordon have been great, Bobbys emotional scene seeing lauras picture, Mr. Jackpots Dougies Heeeelllloooooo! The scene where Mr.C gets shot and the woodsmen fix him, the glass box murders.
Only really bad moment so far has been Michael Ceras Wally Brando. Im sorry but that scene was very long and painful to watch IMO. Neither funny or interesting. Episode 8's mushroom cloud explosion/conveineince store sequence went on a tad too long but the end of the episode with the woodsman"got a light" made it worthwhile.
Going inside the atom blast is my fave so far.
The Betty Briggs scene "This is the chair" is my favourite so far. Charlotte Stewart did a great job! Very convincing.
Just wanted to add that the music in that scene really took me back to the old Twin Peaks.
The Doc Hayward skype call or Albert's "F**k you Gene Kelly" rant
Cooper's moments of "realisation": how to put a coin into a slot machine; relief of emptying his bladder; coffee; that Anthony Sinclair is lying; pancakes & syrup; fondly remembering Jade; witnessing forlorn Sonny Jim in the back of car having to start his day; that the poster is a young Bushnell; unarmed combat; the statue, the badge, the flag, the red shoes, the electric socket...
Favorite scenes thus far:
* "1-1-9! 1-1-9!"
* White Lodge scene with Senorita Dido and phonograph music
* "Gotta light?"
* "This is the water, this is the well..."
* "I Love How You Love Me" song / closeup of Becky in the convertible
* Coop (Dougie) wearing his tie over his head
* "It's not the bunny."
First 15 minutes of Episode 3, Cooper in the purple dimension, particularly the "AC" section - the editing and sound in that part were incredible.
Very difficult as so much of it is so good.
For me, the box scene, Cooper's lodge scenes, all of episode 8, all of Mr C's scenes.
God this is hard. So many good scenes.
All of them!!

It's not my favorite scene but it's one of the more memorable ones simply because it was, and continues to be, such a point of contention.
(drum roll)
Dude sweeping the floor of the Roadhouse.
When a friend of mine asked me what I thought about episode 9, I replied, "It was great. It was like watching a full hour of someone sweeping the floor of the Roadhouse."
Controversial, but I loved Wally Brando and found it highly amusing that Andy and Lucy would have a son who's so serious and poetic and doesn't fit in at all.
Other than that, just the usual bits. I think the Richard Horne actor is doing a good job.
