The shot of the girl running was actually taken from the original Twin Peaks pilot from 1989. The scene is from a school courtyard. The girl runs screaming immediately before the school principal announces over the loud speaker that Laura Palmer was found murdered. The recycled that shot for ep 1 and the episode where Andy meets the Fireman.
