Twin Peaks, X-Files, The Ring and numerous other books and films, both fiction and non fiction (like Ted Bundy, Green River Killer, Enumclaw, Project Blue Book etc.) are centered around the Puget Sound area. It can't be a coincidence, especially since I don't believe in them, and I have had a few crazy experiences myself so there is even more confirmation (for me) that there is something going on up there. Something along the lines of an evil vortex as opposed to a spiritual one in Sedona. I just found out about some ranch near Mt Adams even has UFO sighting events because of so many sightings there. Anyone else here experience things out of the ordinary in the Puget Sound/Pacific Northwest area?
Good question. No blockbusters from me, but the animals get up to funny business around here I think.
We were picking psilocybe cyanescense one year and sampling as we went and we parted some bushes to find the mother of all caps ever. Maybe like the size of of a hockey puck, and we carefully plucked it. Just then the soil just under the stalk of the mushroom opened its eyes at us. The hell? Directly below the mushroom was a friggin huge toad. He was like, hm, 7 inches side to side. Like a sandwich plate. We had no answer for that one. How does a mushroom grow on top of a toad?
One other time (again up on the LSD - what y'all must think of me...) we were fixing to cause a little mischief at the golf course round the way and as we were sneaking across a field in the pitch black we were suddenly like breath to breath with this horse. The horse had a paper plate in his mouth that perfectly faced us and in fat sharpie pen there was an arrow drawn on the plate pointing back the way we came from. The horse says to leave, so leave we shall. Felt like Alice in Wonderland.

There was much conjecture that his choice was based on some strange and unusual history in the forest, but I don't now recall what that history was. I wonder if I can find the story. Might have been the Seattle Times/PI. Or maybe the Snoqualmie Valley record......

I wish I could remember more about the article. It's one of those things that was hanging on the wall for so long, you kind of block it out. Perhaps others would like to help me in my research. Would have been around 1991 (ish) and would have been in a King County newspaper, like I said, mostly likely the Snoqualmie Valley Record or the Seattle Times/PI.
