Around the dinner table, the conversation was lively. Thank you but for now, the forum has been archived.
Watched it yesterday. Highly, highly recommend a cinema watch.
It was like watching an elongated dreamscape. Sound, visuals and story were awe inspiring.

That is good to hear, I have been deathly afraid to watch it since the original is my second favorite film of all time.

Apocalypse Now...I mean how can you top Brando, Sheen and Coppola and Ride of the Valkries all in one movie. You will clearly note that the fan scene in Apocalypse Now was what Lynch ripped off for the fan scene in the palmer house for Twin Peaks. There is so much to this film that it is hard to step away from. With one caveat, the directors version with the Playboy Bunnies trapped at a base camp near the front lines and they have to do drugs and sleep with the soldiers for gas for their helicopter?!?!? So much BS I am glad they cut it for the final print.

I haven't watched that is sooooo long. Better add it to my list. 🙂
