Despite repeatedly asking the site to remember me, I have to log in almost every time I visit here.  The login form times out repeatedly and the "I'm a human" box has no space for a check mark, so I have to click randomly around it in the hope it picks up the mouse click.

I use Opera, btw, and I am not now or ever using spyware Chrome.

To be honest, if I hadn't managed to log in this time, I was going to forget it entirely because it's a real pain in the arse.

YAY!  Sam's back!!!

I've had some similar issues although I figured a few things out.  The Human box, I just click on the wording and it seems to work.

When having problems logging in, I've found (thanks to Buttercup) that it you go into a thread and log in from there, it tends to be much more successful and less risk of that timing our error code (if you are getting that).

Anyhow, WELCOME BACK SAM!

How do.  Didn't think anyone would miss me, given that I've not said or done owt for a while on here anyhow.

Had a lot of RL stuff to deal with lately but it all seems to be working out ok.  One thing came up today, though; looks like my bank card's been scammed, so I have to get onto the card people about it.  Feck.

I get similar issues. Sorry about your card, although I am looking forward to my free holiday.

Mrs Therapy seems to have tracked down the unauthorized transactions.  It's not a scam in the strict sense of the word but it is something that shouldn't have happened.  She's now in the process of getting the money back.  Fingers crossed.

In other news, it seems I dodged a bullet.  Had a warning of possible prostate cancer a few weeks ago.  After tests and scans, all seems ok and I have a provisional all clear.  Taking a course of meds and will go back for a final round of tests in January.  TBH, I wasn't worried because I went through this process just over a year ago with no signs.  I figured if it had developed since then it wouldn't be too bad and, as you may - or may not - know, prostate cancer is one of the most easily treated if it's caught early.

Another piece of good news is that Mrs Therapy passed her driving test 3 weeks ago.  For those of you on the wrong side of the Atlantic, the British test is considerably stricter than your version. 🙂  It's good news all round because I hate driving.

Glad to hear about your prostate (a sentence I never thought I'd say) and congrats to Mrs. Therapy. Hope the kids and cats are doing well also.

If you keep blocking my charges on your card, I'm never going to be able to buy you a Christmas present.

Ta, Brandy.  Everyone is well here, except for the usual colds and sneezes for the season.

Dunno if I told you guys here but we have a new addition to the million cats, a stray we rescued.  A tiny, frightened kitten we named Carmen.  We tried to find the rightful owner - Mrs Therapy is part of a stray rescue team - to no avail, so we adopted her.  Now a much happier little cat, growing fast and being bad, just as kittens are supposed to be.

Hope you and yours are all well.

I'm getting proper brassed off about this...

If I don't visit the site for a few days, I get logged out and have to go through the still painful and not always successful logging in process again.  It's seriously getting on me nerves.

You mean the "please check the box if you are a human" followed by the "login cool down"

Followed by the "please check the box if you are a human" followed by the "login cool down"

Syndrome?

Yeah I get that too...

Strangely I have not had any login problems for the last couple months.  However, before that.........
