If Cooper 'split' in episode 29, we're seeing 'The Good Dale' in the Lodge. This version of Coop is without all the darkness embodied by Mr. C. He is not whole, which gives double meaning to The Evolution of The Arm's line, "He must come back in before you can go out." Meaning, Mr. C must come back inside The Good Dale, making him whole again, before he can leave The Lodge.
If true, it reveals all the Coop Lodge scenes in season 3 in a different light. If Laura's whisper somehow set in motion Coop's plan to go back in time to 'save' her, and if you look at that as a mistake, it makes one wonder if the unified Cooper would've made that choice. My belief is the first time we see the whole Cooper is when he leaves The Lodge in Part 18, meets with Diane. His mission is to 'Find Laura,' yes, but to rectify the mistake he made in Part 17. That's why Coop is not taking Laura to the portal near Jack Rabbit's Palace but to the Palmer home, which is dubious, of course, if he knows what is hiding behind Sarah Palmer's face.

Love most of this, there are some holes named Dougie along with my previous thought that meant Mr.C must come back before Dale could go out but as we all know that didn't happen. Actually Dale was sent out before EITHER Mr.C or Dougie came back into the lodge, however Dougie came back shortly after Mr Jackpots took over his role in the Jones family. And then Dougie was sent back out of the lodge before Mr.C was sent back in by Lucy.
All of the timing was off, not sure if that was on purpose or maybe they missed a detail.
In any event I will add the caveat of, everything was screwed up after February 23rd 1989 so all the rules are off.

I was under the impression the Dale and Dougie "crossed over" simultaneously.

Unless my memory is affected...
Dale came out, floated around the purple sea and into the glass box, before meeting the "American Girl" and choosing the right outlet. I guess it could have been nearly the same time as most people have pointed out that time is not the same on the other side, but from the time of Cooper appearing in the box, until he came out of the outlet in Vegas it seemed to be very significantly longer than Dougie was with the hooker in Vegas. I am not insinuating that he was a 2 pump chump or anything, it just took a few episodes and Cooper was in the box at night, but came out of the socket during the day...
But let me retreat to my caveat, everything was fucked up from February 23rd, 1989 on so I can't really say.
Jack
It is 2:53 on the clock in Mr. C's car, and 2:53 on American Girl's watch. Of course, the latter also seems to indicate it is October 1st.
It seems to me the implicit question is whether we take him to be out of the Lodge when he falls through the floor, or not until he goes through the outlet. I have always thought the latter.

You are correct. I guess I was seeing it more as Dale entered our realm at the same time that Dougie departed. So long as Dale was SOMEWHERE behind the curtain, it all balanced out.

Shit, I don't know anymore but in my estimation, if you are in a glass box, in a high rise in Manhattan, you are definitely OUT of the lodge. But in this Case he could have still had one foot in the lodge the whole time he was an idiot savant as dougie...
FUSF23,1989!
That is my new call sign...

Ok, good point. The glass box moment does throw a wrench in the idea....
