I was reading an article that gave some historical background to the Trinity nuclear A-test, and how that history was (very likely) used by history buff Mark Frost to tie into TP mythology.

It seems a Native American tribe was kicked off that New Mexico land used for the test just before it occurred.  That tribe? Hawk's Nez Perce.

Second, the plutonium used for that test (and subsequent A-bombs, I believe) was manufactured in Washington state.

Bang! (pun not intended, but noted).  Those 2 kids from 1956 definitely looked like they could be Native American kids - dare I say, Nez Perce kids?

That hatchling looked like 2 Biblical plague animals in one - locust and frog.

Those 2 kids (virginal, one would assume) shared their first chaste kiss.  The girl went to sleep on the woodsman-prophet's words.  The creature came in her window (as Leland was visited as a boy) and crawled into her mouth. Were these kids an unfortunate Nez Perce "Mary" and "Joseph", and did we witness a bizarro-evil "immaculate conception" of BOB?

Or maybe these kids are Hawk's parents, and Hawk is "related" to BOB (re: Log Lady's "heritage" clue) in ways he doesn't even know?

Wow...
