Around the dinner table, the conversation was lively. Thank you but for now, the forum has been archived.
"My grandson studies magic" said Ms. Tremond/Chalfont in Season 2.
"Listen to the sounds" and "Remember 430. Richard and Linda. Two birds, one stone." said the Giant at the very beginning of the season.

Episode 6 introduced the following events:
1) The classic shot of the traffic light turning was shown again. It was turning red. When this happens, we can "listen to the sounds" once again.
2) After this, we get introduced to... Red, who performs a magic trick, which is relatable to the season 2 magic trick performed by Ms/ Tremond/Chalfont's grandson (at least relatable in terms of reaction by the spectator, in this case Richard).
3) Right after this meeting of Richard and Red (double R, lol) Richard goes bonkers and runs over a child at the intersection where Leland, Laura and Philip get the classic scene in FWWM. Not sure if this is the same intersection where the traffic light is located (there were very few traffic lights in TP, and I think one was at this intersection).

Is Red a manifestation of the Lodge? A grown up version of the grandson and the representation of "the evil that men do"? Am I just so hyped/excited with the new season and became so obsessive I can't think of anything else and see clues where there aren't?
I'd say Red is somehow lodge-linked.
Or in a unique position in the Venn diagram where close-up magic meets drug dealer.
I'd also guess that Richard is from "Richard and Linda".
But I'm not sure we can work out a relationship (in loose terms, I'm guessing definitely not a romantic relationship) between him and a Linda yet.
Although as FBI special agent Dale Cooper is the only person who knows this information we need him to regain his former self to do something with it.
Which brings the question to 'Why does Linda-from-the-New-Fat-Trout-Trailer-Park not pick up her mail by herself?'

She's in a wheelchair, apparently having been injured in war. She could get her own mail but her partner spares her the hassle.

Not even in a wheelchair yet. They got the government to get a wheelchair, but they haven't got it yet, from what I heard in the episode.

I thought it was a new and better wheelchair they're waiting for? But then again, you try so hard to look at every detail that you miss others lol.
I think you're reaching on him being the grandson. He'd only be in 30s at best.
Red, Richard and the idiot with Shellys daughter are assurasly town charecters with little to directly do with the lodge. Kinda of like the new Leo, Bobby, James etc .
As for Linda, . . . Let's see what "lot" her trailer is on
The electricity pole that was shown at the end of the intersection scene reminded me of the "tree" version of the Arm/Man from Another Place.

Plenty of new characters appears to be lodge-linked: DoppelCoop (BOB), Sonny Jim (The Giant or ??????), Carl Rodd (perhaps to MIKE), etc. Red might also be linked but I guess we'll find out how exactly in the next few episodes.
Carl reminded me of the Gaint after Maddie was killed after car crash scene. . .
Wich could go back to his instructions in Ep 1
