... will leave Buckhorn?
I know this is something I've harped on before, but, seriously... they've been there for awhile now (and I don't just mean episodes, but several days in the story's timeline). Heck, they've set up quite a nice computer room.
Back in Part 11, when Cole saw the portal and Hastings was killed, they had that scene in the Buckhorn Police Department, the one where Albert had determined where the coordinates on Ruth's arm led to, and Diane memorized them. I remember turning to my spouse and asking where the FBI plotline was headed, and he responded enthusiastically with, "Oh, to Twin Peaks! That's where those coordinates are telling them to go!"
Meanwhile, Cole has spent his evenings doodling and entertaining a French woman, they've set-up shop in one of the hotel rooms, tulpa-Diane drowned herself in drinks at the hotel bar, Albert's been Yoda to Tammy's Luke, they've nonchalantly asked tulpa-Diane about the ring from Major Briggs' stomach, they've had a chat with both Sheriff Truman and the Las Vegas FBI, and, well, you get the picture.
Why didn't the FBI team pull-up stakes and head to Twin Peaks?! What's keep them in Buckhorn?
Do you think they'll ever leave? If so, do you think it will be in Part 17 or Part 18?
Haven't you heard?
There's going to be a spin-off called "Buckhorn" with BOB and Mike living together and having Cole as their roommate and they will be Lil-dancing in every episode.
😉
To be fair to our Men (and Woman) in Black, they seem to be on top of things as well as someone trying to put the pieces themselves together. They have information about a guy in Vegas somehow attached to this and they have coordinates around Twin Peaks. They are assuming the planted coordinates they gave Diane are wrong (thus buying them time there as they sort through things from their hotel room that is causing cancer to anyone in a room around them) and the team in Vegas is doing their job (meaning any direct movement to Vegas is premature).
I don't think it is clear to them at this point which direction they should be going and besides, they have all their electronic stuff going.

LOL. I love it!

Eh?
So do we know for certain that they gave Diane fake coordinates?
And what's that about a cancer causing hotel room?
I suppose the note Dale left with Bushnell for the FBI was to the effect that he was going to Twin Peaks
We simply must have Coop & Gordon together again. Icing on the cake would be a scene with Gordon back at the RR for one more kiss..
I reckon after Coop fled Las Vegas under the name of Dougie Jones, they'll go to Vegas to investigate it and find out Cooper has woken up, then going to TP. I also think Gordon might give Wilson's obnoxious boss a lesson.

Sorry should have been more clear.
Cancer causing hotel room - you can't tell me that much electrical equipment in one hotel room is not letting off some kind of radiation strong enough to cause cancer. (more of a joke).
Fake Coords - This is based on an assumption that since they questioned Diane's loyalty there is no way they make the obvious step of presenting the coords in front of her unless they are attempting to mislead. It is exactly what I would have done.

I wonder if Cooper gave Gordon some info that would ensure he can identify him, distinguish him from Bad Coop. He must realize that will be a problem, unless Bad Coop doesn't bother to cut his hair and dress better.

...but not that big a problem. Mr. C doing his yrev best impression of Coop in the South Dakota jail wasn't terribly convincing. Plus he has that pesky backwards fingerprint. (Still, a surefire identifying code phrase or somesuch seems like a good idea.)
