Just watched the youtube channel, wowlynchwow, and it's helped clarify something for me. In episode 8, the Laura-orb is not in response to the Bob-orb (Freddie did that) but it's in response to Judy itself. Coop's Blue Rose mission is to save Laura so she can destroy Judy. Sarah/Judy smashing Laura's photo is to snatch Laura away from Coop and place her somewhere else.
Originally in the Black Lodge (25 years in the future), Laura told Coop that Leyland killed her - but he forgot. In this series before she was snatched away or destroyed in the lodge, could she have told himhow to destroy Judy?
Interesting ideas. If I assume the mother existed prior to the trinity test, I could even argue that Laura was an opportunity hit on mother, much as Bob could be an opportunity hit on Fireman?
