I wonder if "Carrie Paige" is any relation to Beverly Paige, or more likely her husband Tom? At one point Ben Horne mentioned Laura Palmer to Beverly & she asked who she was. Maybe there's a bit more to that story.
I don't remember if Beverly ever mentioned from where she came, but we know that she was new to town, otherwise she would have known the story of Laura Palmer. She and Tom could have come from Odessa and the dead man in Carrie's living room in part 18 could very well be Mr Paige, Carrie's husband and Tom's brother. It's also possible that Carrie's husband killed the man in the chair and left her to watch the corpse (which might be a better explanation of her immediate response to Cooper's identifying himself as an FBI agent at her door, asking if they had located an unidentified him.) In her sleep during the long drive from Texas to Twin Peaks WA, Carrie mumbles about trying to keep a clean house, keeping order, (the yard of the her house looked like a little toxic waste dump but inside the house it looked poor but orderly.) I see a connection between Carrie and Beverly, two handsome, middle aged, working women with husbands of questionable worth. No doubt that there could be more.

It may not be a clue, but I doubt it's a freak accident either. Kind of like Mike and Bob, Mike and Bobby and all the other weird little similarities. Do not lose hope.

There was this early spoiler pic taken by a (real) neighbour of the Palmer's residency and a lot of people were saying that was Janey-E with Cooper in TP. They were far, far away from the truth 😉
