I think I missed some stuff. I will have to watch again. When does Gordon say he is dead?
I dunno. Check his pulse to just make sure.
Wowbobwow, as for you theory, I've pondered this for a few days and I'm just not following what you are layin down. You seem very intent on something and perhaps there is a good theory. Could the break down be somewhere in the explanation?
I have tried to edit down wowbobwow's theory to a simplified version that resonates powerfully with me. While seemingly like a riddle within an enigma, it is plain when one considers:
Mike explained it to our face. "Trough the darkness of future past" . . .Scream at end of Ep 18, . . . BAM!
Now this seems both "obvious" and a stretch, but is it?
this is not a theory, it's analysis and hypotheses. Beside the obvious that the screen was all black
Where do you not see the correlations and formulas . . . So you don't see the coorollations and formulas.
Where you up all next night. Like a divorce would stop him from crawling through Laura's window?
While this seems like college poetry class That Mike says the verse, "out of nowhere".

Lol, yeah, still not getting it. I get parts of it, but then other parts seem to muddle the message.
That's quite the riddle you've manufactured there Jeffrey. Nice work! 🙂

Hehhehe I have been watching a lot more of Twin Peaks and thumbing on my phone than I thought ?
But to clarify and summarize , I am suggesting the events in 17 and 18, are the detailed actualization/ visualization/realization of The Fire Walk With Me verse.
This can be supported many ways, including the Future Past, (i.e. 1960s, hint given by the Fireman in Ep 1 etc), the magician longs to see (Coppers trip to Texas and back to get Laura), and one chants out between two worlds (the 'Laura' whisper), and then the scream
The next step is, we have the "Laura is the one" / Dream Child topics that didn't clearly materialize. So, as we can generally accept that, it all puts the protagonist in the perfect place for the verse.
But that doesn't explain anything if you don't consider when the verse was said and by who and why. . .
So when you "go back" and start with "Futures Past", a trail begins to the past 25 years, that both explains some past events, and then ends with the magician bring the Dream Girl and the Fire together. Perhaps to start again
So, I'm suggesting the verse is not some "expressing someone's inner anger at the world (like a college poetry class) , or even (as Jules would say), "some cold blooded shit to say before I pop a cap in someone"
But, I'm suggesting it is/was a (cringe) prophecy, algorithm, or forumla, about the Dream Girl and the Fire, and we saw in the last episodes actualization of this.
Pardon my bluntness, but I have to ask, what's your point? I see a lot of things loosely strung together and verging on what you call "fan fic."
Not trying to be rude. I'm just not seeing it. And considering how you have seemed to consider other "hypotheses" I am failing to see what's different here.
pardon my bluntness, but the reason why you're not seeing is your looking for what has become to be called a "theory". That is pretty much a play along game for entertainment (fan fiction). Which I am not doing.
This is a very simple collection of data, identifying key factors the factors and their relations to other factors to locate patterns and trends.
I have shown that in the final episodes there is a specific relation, and supporting trends, and patterns between multiple significant events, that relate the primary theme of the series together.
If you say so.
I think you've created a multi-faceted riddle and if it helps explain things for you, that's fantastic.
wowbobwow, if nothing else, your passion for your discovery is admirable. If we aren't able to grasp the complexity, then we likely aren't worthy to share that passion.
Thumbs up!

I do Data Intelligence Development for a living, and an extremely comfortable one because I am very good at it.
All I did was detect the pattern and followed its logic and reasoning
Whst is probably throwing you off is that it doesn't "answer" typical questions or provide theories or sultions, but suggests approaching the questions , on a different terrain and broader terrian then has been.
That could be......or it could not be. Who knows. I guess it's a good thing I'm not actually looking for answers or solutions. I gave that up days ago.
I would likely be less resilient if I didn't see the pattern of comments such as "self induldgent and delusionsal fan fiction" which tends to create an automatic defensive/offensive position leaving the potential actual message muddied or even forsaken.
What bothers me most is the seeming "I'm right, you're wrong. I have fact, you have fiction" message that appears to be underlying the statement.
wowbobwow,
You insulted all three of the people who chose to post in this thread. You either wanted to enlighten or proclaim your brilliance by creating this thread. Have you accomplished your goal?
Ive also been thinking similarily about Mike's verse having great significance. Here are my two pennies...
"The darkness of future past" - I think this is meant to be infinite possibility. The future is indeterminate so its past is unknowable.
"The magician..." - Well my take on this is the Tarot meaning as in the magician is a bridge between the real world and the spirit world. Dale is the FBI, he investigates and hopes to see through the mystery.
"One chants out" - Laura is the one. She chants out when she whispers in Dale's ear. I think she is narrator or a creator. Each time she whispers to Cooper there is a big pivot in the real world. I think Laura tells Dale the story and we experience it through him.
"Between two worlds" - so i have a crackpot theory thats probably wrong but here goes:
The red room is where Dale and Laura dwell, the Firemans b/w world, the purple room etc. This is the place between two worlds. The white lodge and black lodge are actually the real world. Twin Peaks/Odessa.
"Fire Walk With Me" travel these worlds with me.
I think this tells us that Dale and Laura are bound to each other .
Just another piece of the puzze I guess.
wow_bob_wow, I am not following you, but I greatly admire your passion.

No, I don't think you missed anything. I am just as confused as you are as to what is being communicated here. I'd like to know. I just don't see how Gordon saying "he's dead" in front of Hasting's mutilated head means that Mike is Cooper.
