I think that's why in episode 2 when Naido flipped the switch, the outlet showed three: positive, negative, and ground.
Remember how they had to put earth (ground) in their pockets before Andy ascended into the lodge, and at that time they found Naido.

Thank you so much for sharing this. I intuitively picked up on some of this, and your articulation of these ideas helped clarify things for me.
So glad you took the time to write this and tease out all the potential connections. As long-time self studied Buddhist I've been picking up all these clues throughout the season but couldn't quite put my finger on them all. So many of the details throughout point in this direction, but of course there are a lot of symbols and language that are somewhat unique to Frost/Lynch- and plus there is the narrative itself to keep track of! Your point that in the cosmology of the series there is definitely some "outside" forces at work which doesn't fall into traditional Buddhist mythology is true, yet... The Dreamer also dreams of Heaven and Hell along with Earth, space and the physical universe, no? Was not one of the Buddha's final illusions that of an army of demons and monsters? So the various forms of "pure" evil, or good for that matter in the TP world still would all fall into that infinite realm of dreams and the dreamer.
In any case, your analysis (for me anyway) rings truer than any other I've read to date, so for now I'm going to use it as my compass. Again: thanks!
I also like it because it doesn't really contradict anything that the Secret History of Twin Peaks posits, which obviously is one of the few official road maps we have.
