I'm sure this has been mentioned, but I haven't come across it and there is so much here for a new guy to read, but David Bowie died around 4 months after Catherine Coulson. What a nice surprise that would be to withhold. It seems unlikely, but I'm going to hold out hope til the very last episode

Don't think so, they already used a voice-over for his charracter twice now.
Bowie probably moved on to use his remaining energy for "Blackstar"
So that wasn't Bowie's voice?

No, Jeffries is voiced by Nathan Frizzell.

The closing credits often hold a lot of clues/information.
I would have loved to see the real David Bowie, but I don't think we will. It was a fitting tribute that they showed old footage of him and didn't try to recast him.

Lefty Frizzell would've been more like it!!
Well, I'll bet one shiny penny to anyone who wants in on the bet that we see some kind of footage of Bowie that we haven't seen in FWWM or the missing pieces

Bowie did FWWM on the fly pretty much--and that was at full youth and health. He was never as immersed in the Twin Peaks projects as much someone like Miguel Ferrer or Catherine Colson.
I think that if there is a scene, it would behoove the director to leave him til the end. I read that he had great admiration for David Bowie. To put him as an ongoing character through the series would cheapen his value.
