So I'm trying to narrow down who or where Laura ended after being pulled from the Lodge screaming. I have a few guesses:

1) Candie - seems to be everyones first guess but I dont think Lynch would make it that easy

2) Judy - havent seen Judy yet (or have we?)

3) Jerry's foot - this ones a long shot but god it would be hilarious

4) Out of left field (Lynchs specialty dangle people and make us think we know who it is) the most likely scenario is some character that we have seen a few times and we didnt think was very important is gonna have a daughter or sister that is inhabited by Laura.

Would love to hear your theories on Laura. Plus it will help me pass the time reading them till Sundays next episode. I'm going crazy!

I think Laura will be Laura played by Sheryl Lee when she finally appears. I don't think she's already around and inhabiting one of the other characters we've seen.

I like the Jerry's foot idea.

How do we know we've seen Laura yet?  She may not have appeared, may ride in to save the day like a Deus ex, erm, Lodge.

The guy in the cell. He's repeating like Dougie/Cooper or "Linda". Not my choice, I think it's Candie but it's other options.

Maybe we won't see her again until Cooper is back in the lodge. She is dead after all.

The golden orb may in fact just show that the Giant's plan failed. Laura self destructed. She was only human, after all.

Just playing devil's advocate ;D

I don't think she's inhabiting anyone's body (although saying that is the surest way for it to actually be the case).

When Laura was pulled away out of the waiting room, I kind of thought (assumed?) that she was taken to somewhere ethereal (i.e., another part of the lodge).

This is to say, I have no clue.

ETA: For what it's worth, my spouse (who is the real Twin Peaks fan in the household, and who doesn't spend time in online forums about the show, yet has seen some of his predictions come to fruition so far)  believes that we will see Laura come out of the lodge and return to Twin Peaks.

I've told him I don't see how that's possible, since (from what I can tell) the only people who seem able to enter and leave the lodge are those who are still alive in the "real" world, and Laura is dead here on Earth. He just sits there, shrugs, and smiles. And this has been his theory going back to around Part 5 or 6.

We'll see...

Your other half has a fair point there. We've seen BOB leave the lodge (well, his arm sticking out) and also the Giant. Mike has also shown himself to Dougie/Coop outside the lodge. And I guess we could include Coop's doppelganger, although the workings of that whole thing are open to interpretation.

Why does it have to be an actor we ve already seen. Can't it be a real world sheryl lee or an actor we havent seen yet? (e.g. francesca eastwood).

My opinion is the pulled laura didn't travel to the real world, it was not a geo trip but a time trip. When she meets Coop she comes from the future to speak to him and is again pulled back in the future.

By the way: when u see a really "brilliant" or big scene of a character, considering there are thousands of characters, u can be certain it was their last scene or last major plot scene: that goes for Candie et al.

Laura is one of my favourite TP characters (there are so many to choose from!). During these dry TP-less decades I practically learned her diary by heart, having no tapes. Only recently I watched FWWM and my admiration just grew.

My wish (I don't dare to call it a theory) is to see Cooper, in whatever form, "finding" grown-up Sheryl Lee as Ghost Laura, giving her a chance to reunite with the good part of Leland and depart with him (Leland) to the White Lodge. Maybe even re-humanizing Sarah in the process. The Little Girl dispelling the Mother, with the help of love. I'm not being sappy, it's obvious that the theme of love is still very strong in this show, see the Nadine-Ed-Norma scene.

I'm already cushioning myself for the inevitable crushing of my hopes.

Just playing devil's advocate ;D

But Laura hasn't failed, she allowed herself to be killed because she didn't want BOB inside her. And as far as we know she was the only one capable of this.

I'm not sure what you mean by "only one capable of this"?  After not allowing Bob inside her, Bob proceeded to kill Maddy and contributed to who knows how much death and destruction while with Mr. C.

I think Laura and Maddy could simply have been human beings that looked exactly like the spirit force the Fireman created to counter Bob.

DL and MF had tremendous ability to do some "revisionist history" and introducing the gold globe with Laura's face opened an infinite number of possibilities for how we will be reintroduced to "Laura".

I'm another who doesn't think that Laura is inhabiting someone else we already know. I agree with James that we'll see Sheryl Lee again but most likely if we see her again  she won't be Laura... at least not outside of the Lodge.

I won't expound further. I already went on at some length over in Matthew G's post on Resolutions...  http://welcometotwinpeaks.com/discuss/twin-peaks-part-15/resolutions/

Go and have a look. Or any other interesting thread AND THEN POST SOMETHING. All I'm getting on "The Conversation is Lively" list is "do not engage" and "the mandela effect".

?  zzzzz
