Yes! I connected it to the scene from the trailer too. But I thought it would be Mister C driving into town. There's a thread in Ep. 12 sub-forum asking if it was a black FBI suit that Hutch put into the black bag for him (with guns and phones?).

Upon reflection, Mister C knows how to drive and Dougie Coop doesn't. QUICK! Find that trailer scene. Is it a white BMW??

i guess it coulda been crazy Richard, but he had already left town. Hmm. And it seems to me the only mis-ordered scenes occur in the RR Diner, not the Roadhouse etc.

Hi Jesse,

I was the OP at that thread, and I  believe now more firmly than before that there is a black suit inside that brown bag. Some of the posters on that thread seemed inclined to believe that the bag was full of guns, big guns. Mr. C has already shown he doesn't need big guns to achieve is goals. He has his own ways.

He's done with Ray. What now? Twin Peaks, I presume. It's time to look like the good old Coop!

He's gonna need a nice Coop haircut and good bath too.  🙂

Oh, I just SO hope you are wrong on this one. No diss to you.

I am on my knees, praying...Special Agent...Special Agent...

I also think Mr. C is on the way to Twin Peaks. What I don't understand is why he needed wanted coordinates. He knows where the town is. He knows where to go in the woods for the Lodge entrance. Where are the coordinates leading and why?

He probably doesn't know where Jack Rabbit's Palace is. Maybe that?

That's what I think. The coordinates point specifically to Jack Rabbit's Palace.

In major Briggs's note Jack Rabbit's Palace doesn't seem to be the end of the journey. Bobby, Hawk and Frank are supposed to get there and pick some soil before they leave. I guess there must be somewhere else they should head to after that. Assuming that the coordinates in Briggs's note are the same Mr C. has, I wouldn't say they will lead to Jack Rabbit's Palace, since Bobby already Knew where that was. He wouldn't need coordinates to get there.

I've seen is said elsewhere but can't remember (sorry!) The reason we've apparently gone back a day in the time line might be so that we can see that speeding car roar past Big Ed's Gas Farm.

I dont know who can it be... but the color of the car that Coop/MrC is driving in that promo video is black... and has to be a Lincoln (maybe an FBI car) There's some Lincoln references in the Show

or maybe more accurately: 253 yards east of it

My guess about that one is the Great Northern / The Falls.

OK, so 253 yards east of Jack Rabbit's is what I meant, per the instructions on the note. Bobby knows where that is, but it would seem that only he and Garland had this name for it. So, it makes sense to me that Mr C would need coordinates, even if he already knew the location was somewhere around Twin Peaks.

What about this?

Those are representations of gibberish noises picked up at Briggs' station that were then interrupted by COOPER/COOPER/COOPER and also said THE OWLS ARE NOT WHAT THEY SEEM at another point. It is cut out from the piece of paper that Briggs shows to Cooper in whatever episode that is.

That would be incredible if there was a portal or something important hidden behind the falls, meaning Lynch has been telegraphing a key location forever in the opening credits of both the old and new series.

The way I see it  Bobby, Hawk & Truman are looking for Cooper. They just don't know it yet. It seems clear (as clear as TP can be?) that they will play a major role in his Return. Mr. C is looking for something else. Some sort of greater source of power. He is not looking for Cooper. His been trying to get him killed since he landed in Dougie's life. Of course that might change if Hutch & Chantal fail in their task (and I think they will). But as things are at the present I wouldn't say that the coordinates Mr. C has are taking him to the same place where the sheriff and his deputies are heading. I think that those numbers and letters are more than gibberish noises because they might provide a location for a final meeting between the two Coopers.

We also had a discussion on this under part 10 or 11 but it was titled awkwardly; "The Map . . . " or something like that. I'm sceptical that it is Mr C driving in the trailer because his irises are brown, not black (granted Doppelgänger magic may extend to changing physical features). Also, I think after the information that Ray gave him in part 13 that he's headed to Dutchman's before the Twin Peaks area. Then there's the original teaser that doesn't show Coop in a car, but take a look:

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=khwuhgxjoXU

That looks like the ol' Coop to me. In the other trailer it's difficult to determine what kind of auto he's driving:

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=vsdRG0mJj-w

His countenance though . . .

The thread in part 10 or 11 quickly descended into: "that would suck if everyone is trying to figure out which Coop is the real Coop." I think of John Lithgow in Raising Cane arguing with himself (completely different premise, but. . .).

If Mr C ends up trying to play the part of Coop, I think Hawk will see right through him.

We do know, however, that Mr C or Coop has to die. What we don't know is if anyone but Coop can kill Mr C. Frankly, it appears that Mr C will have to do the deed himself because Coop is obviously a ninja-Buddha with good karma in spades that has escaped four plans to assasinate him (we'll see more attempts I'm sure), exposed corruption at his place of employment and has provided richly for Dougie's family without forming a complete sentence. A meeting between the two is inevitable.

That said, Richard was not in a good state of mind after he left Sylvia's house. I doubt he was the epitome par excellence of driving. More likely that Trick was talking about Richard, IMO.

That's interesting. We shall see. I have been thinking that Briggs' note is going to lead them to an entry to the white lodge, or something like that, and that the COOPER/COOPER was meant more as a warning about there being two Coopers. Though, Hastings also said the Major said this before his head floated away... So, I would agree that this is going to be key in terms of The Return of Cooper, to take your phrasing. But I also think it relates to what Mr C is after. I could be wrong.

In a similar manner, I interpreted Hastings saying that Briggs said "Cooper. Cooper." as a seed being planted in the minds of the Blue Rose Task Force that there is more than one Cooper. Or, at the very least, another piece of evidence confirming their suspicions about Mr C. I can picture one of them remembering what Hastings said later on.

If you look at the eyes of the Cooper in that trailer they are black so could Mr C eventually get a haircut and look similar to the Good Cooper before he arrives in Twin Peaks?  Maybe the Cooper driving that car that looks like the Good Coop is actually Mr. C.  The Good Coop will then remain in Las Vegas as Dougie Jones.

Or...not. I think Cooper will get to TP. I just don't think he'll get there driving. I just can't picture the idea of him "waking up" and saying "Janey-E, I'm gonna take that fancy BWM and head TP".?

Once again, I could be wrong.

Edit: I think he needs to reverse the process which led him to his current state. This time he'll have Bobby, Hawk and Truman to assure him a secure "landing".
