It's because Diane (that we saw up to that point) was a tulpa and someone who really knows here (a mother, a father, a brother, or a SISTER) would know that there is something off..
Therefore Tulpa Diane cut ties.

Also, the amount of money Mr Jackpots won seems to vary from one episode to another. Here Rodney says $447,000. In an earlier Part I think it was said to be $425,000, and it is a different number again later, as I recall

I agree with some but I don't think there were 2 Diane tulpas or 2 Mr C dopplegangers.
Truly amazing stuff, though. Would explain the many weird conversations and inconsistencies .
