I think, the Giant and the Arm (Mike) could be related. Remember the episode where Cooper had a dream about the Black Lodge where the Arm told him Laura was his cousin? And now we see how Laura was created by the Giant. If he created Laura, then his "sibling" (if he has one) created Mike/the Arm.

This is the episode:

In the Red Room, sometimes everyone was wearing everyone else's faces.  So when the Arm said Laura was his cousin, it was Maddy speaking.  There was also Annie saying her husband killed her, then switching to Caroline Earle.  Another time is when Laura said she felt like she knew Laura, but then Dale asked again and she replied she was Laura.

These scenes make it seem that the spirits are all 1 consciousness.  But other times, every Lodge character seemed to be their own particular self.  So I don't know what's up with that.

Mike, in the original series, was inhabited by BOB, then he cut off his arm, which contained bobs spirit.

MIKE is a spirit himself, a separate entity from BOB. They shared the same tattoo ("Fire Walk with Me") on their left arms, which MIKE then cut off to end their partnership, and it manifested into a third entity known as the Arm.

...which has now turned into a super creepy tree?

I love Twin Peaks lol, it breaks my brain, but I love it so much...

I was also always wondering -MIKE said the people BOB inhabited were his children - who's children. Robertson - son of Robert. Who is Robert? BOB. And Leland is his spiritual child?

I wonder if the female figure "experiment" might have any connection to the figure/symbol painted on a playing card that Mr C shows to Darya right before he kills her. The figure painted on the ace-card is a black blob with two tiny limbs sticking out at the top. If you look closely at "experiment" as she appears in the nuclear explosion you can see that the head is mounted with tiny horns or antennas similar to that of the blob-symbol. Could "experiment" be what Mr C is looking for?

When Mr C shows Darya the playing card he states: "-This i what i want."

Maybe the Ace card itself(No.1) is also significant as we now know that "experiment" is the mother creator of Bob and other creatures of evil.

Another thing that support the possibility that Mr C is somehow looking for "experiment" is the set up with the glass box in New York. Was Mr C or someone connected to him trying to lure her out? In TP S2 Major Briggs says: “fear and love open the doors.” - Whether Tracey actually was interested in Sam or was payed by someone to seduce him we don't know - But maybe the lovemaking was the thing that 'open the door.'

Another thing (This might be to far fetched) but as i was looking for other symbols similar to the one on Mr C's playing card i went back to the Cave painting and read something that caught my attention. On the Twin Peaks Fandom Wiki you can read that the largest symbol at the very bottom of the cave painting is "interpreted to be associated with wokaimumbic a giant man-eating owl from the Shoshone culture."

Couldn't help to think about what happened to poor Sam and Tracey.

Also the vague similarities between a Horned Owl, Ace Card symbol and the horned head of "experiment".

As we very well know, The owl's are not what they seem.

What do you guy's think?

I believe so.  The real question is why is Mr. C showing the card to Dariua then?  Whats the connection?  This also supports my theory (maybe far-fetched) that BOB is orchestrating this - including the killing of Mr. C. BoB wants out as host of Mr. C and the way to do it is to have him shot.

You've made me think once again about what I think may happen next.

I think BoB has somehow released himself from Dopplecoop, as you said it may have been Bob's plan. BoB seems to have free movement and control over the Lodge, no need for him to be pulled back in every 25 years. So the story we are getting is very much the story of Mr. C. and not "Bob" much like how Leland was presented in the original show. With Lelands death, Bob was released. With Mr C.'s death, Bob is released, but the twist on the story is that Mr C. is a supernatural/alien Doppleganger who cannot be killed as easily as poor old Leland.

I also think that Dopplegangers need possessive spirits to be able to function and operate of their own accord, "BoB" acting as a sort of soul for the Doppleganger and giving it agency and sentience. Remember how the Dopplegangers have completely white/grey eyes, and indication of being empty. Mr C., has blacked out eyes. "But wait!" you say...as you begin to explain that when Mr C. sits up, he still has black eyes. Yes, he goes. What I suspect is that either MIKE has entered his body, (I could write an entire thread on what I believe MIKE would do with Mr C, especially with Mr C's plans, as well as with DougieCoop) or Mr C, in Doppleganger form, has lived for so long on Earth and experienced so much that he can now exist independently without a host, but perhaps with less skillsets as Bobs influence is no longer over him. This could indicate why Cooper HAS to kill Mr C, he is a rogue Doppleganger out of control.

I think that in episode 8, we saw the extraction/release of BoB, and Dopplecoop will become to resemble old Cooper and may in fact begin to impersonate him almost perfectly. The reason I believe this is based on the few seconds of "Cooper" we got in the trailer, where a seemingly well groomed and normal-haircut Cooper was driving along the roads in the dark. The aesthetic and atmosphere from that car shot, is consistent with Mr. C's story so far.

Having typed out these ideas, I do not think I believe in them any longer, I used this space more as a place to get my idea out onto paper and now I've seen them collectively it all seems rather messy and amateur, but I'll still post just to get some more fire into the discussion, my incoherent ideas may inspire others.

I posted this elsewhere in the forum. I too believe that Mother is the image on the ace of spades card and that Mr. C has gone rogue and wants to take over as the mother of all evil and rule the Black Lodge supreme.

In the original series, Hawk says that all souls must pass through the Black Lodge.

So the fact that Laura turned a little bit wild doesn't mean anything. Perhaps all souls must pass through the evils of the black lodge, whether metaphorically through our plane of existence, or in the black lodge itself.

I think the answer to the strange moth creature and the mystery of the Experiment lies in The Owls. They are not what they seem. They are manevolent spirits in the form of an owl. So, why do they take over owls at one time and people at other times?

It will all be linked somehow I'm sure.

8 hours of screen time and only one Owl....no, I'm not counting the orange cookie jar.

I assume the only owl we've seen so far is the one that flies over Dougie as he and his chauffeur await Janey's arrival?

So far, yes...an odd CGI owl at that.

I kinda take Hawk's saying to mean after death.  Maybe that's why they call that section the Waiting Room.
