We know that the Abomb acted as a catalyst for the inhabitants of the black lodge to enter our world. At least that's how it seems.
I keep wondering what the link is between Jupiter and Saturn aligning (as per the original series) to gain entrance to the lodge, and the Abomb detonation.
The entrance to Glastonbury Cove has always been there, I would assume. And access to the black and white lodge has always been accessible when Saturn and Jupiter align.
What difference has the Abomb had to black lodge access? Or perhaps the Abomb merely empowered the black lodge residents to take it a step further and walk amongst us, as opposed to them only being able to briefly make contact through us.
Note - as an aside, we know that love and fear open the white and black lodges respectively. What is the love alternative to an Abomb, should an opposite thing exist?

Black Lodge and White Lodge and paranormal activity has been occurring in Twin Peaks for hundreds of years. Evil was already here, the Abomb unleashed something much greater, it seems.
So we're definitely moving in the right direction.
