Okay, so we watched about 4-5 minutes of the Roadhouse floor getting swept to the tune of "Green Onions."  Something about that scene gave me the feeling that something big could happen in the Roadhouse before the season is over (after all, it's kind of where everyone converged at the end of Season 2).  There wasn't much information there, except the particular layout of the bar area (and what happens to all those peanut shells), so I'm thinking we might need to know the geography of that place for some reason.  Does this make sense to anyone else?  And if it does, what do y'all think it's going to be?

Well it's where Cooper spoke to the giant and discovered that Leland killed Laura so it may have some mystical properties.

I'm re-watching this episode right now.  I thought I saw something in this scene I didn't notice the first time through, and I haven't seen any other comment on it yet.  I think Lynch may have slipped in the Black Figure, after lulling the viewer with all the floor-sweeping.  When the bartender is on the phone, there is a shot featuring a person in the foreground, out-of-focus, seemingly sitting at the bar, and who looks very much like the Black Figure.  When it moves back to a wide shot of the bar, he's not there.  I wish I knew how to capture the image and post it.

I guess I was nodding off when I thought I saw what I saw.  Would have been cool if it actually was in there like I thought, though.  I figured there had to be a reason to show all that sweeping.

So there's nothing there? I didn't see anything like that.

I really wanted to see this, but no there's nothing. You're right - the Roadhouse is important.

After a while watching the scene I started thinking about what was actually being swept up. Was it something specific? In the end I settled on it just being random trash...

I was instantly thinking of the metal-pieces spread at Homestead. (TSSOTP) - Not that it should be of any meaning - just what my brain catching as a visual resemblance...

Never the less - it's clear that they are Cleaning up some mess...

In terms of the RH's geography, don't forget what LP says to Donna in FWWM when they're in the backroom:"Welcome to Canada."

LOL ... just like I wanted to see something, anything, pop out from behind a tree in the opening sequence with Jerry.  Whew! Seems like I spend too much time lately looking (and listening) in the dark corners, and loving every frame of it.

During the 'sweeping' scene, I followed along closely, yelled a few times, "ya missed a couple cigarette butts over there"... of course, he ignored me and continued for a yrev very long time. I think it was all a subtle message: No matter how closely we watch and listen, no matter how meticulously we sweep over the information presented, we miss a few things along the way. Case in point, I DID NOT notice the jet airplane windows. Mind blown!

Hang in there @Patrick Dunn! We're with you Brother!

As you can see in "Missing pieces", it's not the backroom of the roadhouse.
I used to think it was as well, but no. I guess they had to cut stuff, but it really doesn't feel like they have been travelling in FWWM.

They say "let's go" & they leave the RH. "Welcome to Canada" is to announce the location to the audience. TP is supposed to be 5 miles from the Canadian border, which is not a long car trip.
